I feel like I have tried a million concealers on my dark circles but none are right- wrong colour, turn flaky, settle in lines and creases, start looking powdery by the end of the day. It's so frustrating!

I have dry skin so I need something creamy and hydrating. Ideally I would like to get something in Boots coz I have lots of points to spend and it would be good to get colour matches at a counter but I will take any recommendations at this point! Thanks

Noting the Boots points thing so not listing high end luxe brands... All suitable for most skins.

light coverage and more of a concealer / light reflecting highlighter hybrid:

Clinique Airbrush
Rimmel Wake Me Up

Fuller coverage:
Nars radiant creamy concealer (prob not boots points friendly)
Maybelline Fit Me
Estée Lauder Double Wear stay In place
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra wear camouflage

TiddleTaddleTat · 19/01/2019 15:38

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. Pricey but lasts ages and the two tones can be blended (with a brush or finger) to get exactly the right shade. Great lasting power.

TiddleTaddleTat · 19/01/2019 15:39

Oh sorry missed your point about boots points. Maybe spend that on everyday basics (toothpaste, shower gel etc).

lottieleo · 19/01/2019 15:47

Boots -
maybelline eraser eye concealer

armani retouch concealer
nars radiant creamy concealer

Lottapianos · 19/01/2019 15:48

Tiddle, between points and a voucher, I have £200 to spend. That's a lot of toothpaste Grin

Bumbo, the Estee Lauder sounds good, I have my eye on one of their foundations too. Thanks!

I've heard good things about the NARS radiant creamy concealer for dark circles with fine lines. All being well tomorrow, my husband is taking me to the city centre so I can try it out.

A make up artist suggested using a bit of moisturiser in the eye area just before applying corrector and/or concealer, to help stop the product sinking in to fine lines.

Olivecake · 19/01/2019 16:02

It cosmetics ‘bye bye undereye’ concealer has great coverage and is available at boots. Be careful not to use too much and apply over an eye cream and it shouldn’t cake.

Lottapianos · 19/01/2019 16:09

NARS gets a lot of love- it's going on the maybe list

Have also heard great things about IT and they are in Boots .......

Let me know what you end up trying OP - I too am on the search for the holy grail new concealer, preferably something not too spendy as I always end up buying the wrong bloody thing and not using it. Although I’m tempted by the Nars as it does indeed get a lot of love 😬

TiddleTaddleTat · 19/01/2019 16:38

Crikey! That is a lot of points!

I heard good things about the (cheapy) NYX under eye concealer - I picked it up in Boots but I don't rate it - very orange toned and too chalky.

DitheringDaisy · 19/01/2019 16:40

NARS! I have found this to be the best one I have used. I found Laura Mercier too drying but I have very dry skin.

waterandlemonjuice · 19/01/2019 16:42

This is great tartecosmetics.com/EU/en_GB/makeup/face/creaseless-concealer/1312.html

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 19/01/2019 16:42

Tiddle spooky - I was coming on to add just that. I bought the under eye one last week and found it did the same on me. Really disappointed.

OP i know you want to use your boots points but I've heard great things about Wilkos own brand (Essence I think it's called) and it's only a few quid. Think I'll try that next.

DitheringDaisy · 19/01/2019 16:53

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 19/01/2019 16:57

Definitely NARS. I've been using it a while now but just the other week some magazine had it as a winner for best concealer.

Save your points for perfume Smile

Sparkletastic · 19/01/2019 17:00

Spend your Boots points on other stuff and get thee to a Charlotte Tilbury counter. Her Magic Away concealer is a game changer.

thebigmaniswatching · 19/01/2019 17:09

Revolution is my recommended one at the minute, I’ve told everyone!Grin £4 in Superdrug, I got it because I couldn’t get hold of the nars one and someone else recommended it to me, at £4 I thought I’d give it a go and bloody hell its fab! I won’t go back to the nars one now.

snowone · 19/01/2019 17:54

I have the Estée Lauder one - it's good! I put it in after my foundation in the areas I would like a bit more coverage and blend with a beauty blender

Lottapianos · 19/01/2019 17:55

Ooh Sparkle, that's a thought.... I know Charlotte Tilbury's products are very Marmite but I have heard consistently good things about that concealer. Hmmmmmm......

Kevyn aucoin sensual skin. Creamy, made with jojoba oil and VERY pigmented so a tiny bit gives EXCELLENT coverage. A tiny pot lasts years.

TheLastNigel · 19/01/2019 18:14

Bobby brown correcter and then their concealer over the top. I've tried everything believe me and this is the best combo I've found.

LaurenOrdering · 19/01/2019 19:32

As I said on a previous thread about dark circles this is excellent.
Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Concealer.

I'm very impressed.

Sarcelle · 19/01/2019 20:58

I recently bought the Tilbury one. Not impressed and the applicator is rank. I prefer a Bourjois one - think it is called Radiance Revealed. I also like Maybelline eraser.

Domino45 · 19/01/2019 21:42

Mac Pro long wear concealer & Nars soft matte complete concealer.

TattiePants · 19/01/2019 22:46

I've just got Estée Lauder Double Wear and really liking it. Definitely not Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage for under your eyes. It's great for small blemishes / spots but way too heavy for under eyes. I've been watching a lot of Lisa Eldridge videos on youtube recently and she recommends Clinique Airbrush.
