How to maintain healthy nails?

Hi there, I've recently stopped biting my nails (I know, terrible habit!) and I'm starting to see a bit of progress. I work in an environment where I'm constantly washing my hands and often using cleaning chemicals, which is causing me to feel a little defeated as my hands always feel dry and my nails are starting to feel brittle, breaking every so often! Using gloves isn't really an option either Sad How can I maintain strong, healthy, nice nails?

I have very strong nails and I use oil every night, any will do but I use sweet almond which is cheap. Just rub into the cuticles. Can you use a barrier cream at work and try to use hand cream frequently? Are rubber gloves an option at all? But yes, oil is your friend. You want your nails strong but flexible, rock hard and they break like glass does.

Nail Envy by opi is brilliant stuff, really recommend.

Definitely second Nail Envy. I use it as a base coat and top coat as well as on its own. Great stuff!

I have naturally v dry skin. If i worked in your conditions I'd surly have no luck at all. Fwiw i take a supplement for nails, use heavy duty hand cream after every hand wash, rubbing into the cuticle, cut and file regularly. If you've only recently stopped biting then keep them short so the weakened mail doesn't have as much chance to flake or break.

Silica supplement and Nail Envy.

Can anyone advise? Theres loads of different Nail Envy ones and I'm not sure which I need. My nails are really thin and bendy - they tear but don't brake if that makes sense. I want to use it as basecoat.

Thank you!
