Any tips for brightening my skin and making it look younger please?!! I have two small children so sleep isn't great and I have dark circles under my eyes. My skin is pale and not bright. I've started exercising and seen a little difference. I have taken the pill for years and have had two children so I have patches of pigmentation. What can I do to brighten my skin and help lighten the dark patches please?

I cleanse each morning and then use eye cream, serum, moisturise, spf 50. I don't wait for any of it to dry and then slap on make up.

Evenings I double cleanse, eye cream, serum moisturise and that's it.

All products are Asda brand nspa, Aldi lacura, body shop and serum is Estee Lauder.

I eat way too much chocolate and don't drink enough water but apart from that, anything else I can do to brighten my skin and get rid of dark circles?

Exfoliation is the key to brighter and smoother skin!!

Its great you are using an SPF to help protect the skin and prevent further pigmentations. It always shocks me people only think you need SPF at the beach!!

There is also lots of products on the market which work to remove pigmentations and make them less visible. So you might want to look in this.

I’ve been using the Nip and Fab extreme night pads for exfoliation and do think they help.

You’re putting a lot of stuff on your face every morning. Maybe try using just an spf moisturiser for a while and see if your skin is happier? Might be a bit clogged?

Sounds like a reasonable amount of skincare to me. SPF is only protecting from sun damage. It does not nourish the skin so other stuff will be beneficial.

Chemical exfoliants. I use The Ordinary 7% Glycolic tonic - very cheap!

Also, if you have access to it, tretinoin.

Agree that the Nip+Fab glycolic pads are excellent. They do a sensitive version, a regular version and then an extreme version so start with whatever feels appropriate for you. After cleansing, you simply wipe the pad over your skin and it tingles a little bit. For something a bit stronger, I like the Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension (although a lot of people don't like it!). You use a small amount after cleansing and you will get more of a tingle. Only use it twice a week.

I would say it’s not a lot of skin care! Cleanse, tone, serum, moisture and SPF all off different benefits to the skin.

The main think to ensure is you use the formula that’s right for your skin, if the skin is clogging look for more light weight, poor free and non pore clogging formulations ( non acne genic)

Good luck!!

I read that dark circles are a sign your liver isn't getting the time to detox your body. It's usually from lack of sleep but also when hung over or dehydrated. I'd be taking a good vit c supplement and drinking lots of water.
