Any views on these? I've gone through 2 refills now and they don't seem to last long at all.

I just wanted a compact foundation that's not powder but don't seem to be able to find a decent one.

I think they're mainly good for travelling - I have the YSL cushion foundation which I use when I travel for work. For everyday, liquid or cream compacts are generally not good value for money due to the amount of product you get - I prefer to use a liquid foundation and a Beautyblender sponge.

That's what I feared - I'm just too lazy/pressed for time in the morning to bother with liquid foundation, powder etc!

I love my cushion compact it makes applying foundation in the morning super quick and easy but I agree the amount of product is rubbish. Try flipping the sponge over. Also I just squirt about 4/5 pumps of my foundation in and let it sit and it works pretty much the same way. You can do this a couple of times before it becomes manky and probably needs replacing

Have you tried a cream to powder foundation? They are in a compact and start out as a firmish cream and end up drying to a powder finish. I've had lots of compliments with the look. Super quick. Plus not heavy or masklike. I can't stand anything on my skin that has any weight or really changes the look of it.

That sounds like an option @MDFalco - can you recommend one?

A foundation stick could also be a good option - they generally have a decent amount of product vs a compact. You just swipe it on and blend with fingers or a brush. The Bobbi brown Skin stick foundation is excellent and suits most skin types.

I live in Australia, and I use www.natio.com.au/cream-to-powder-foundation/?SID=21q1nqbimhr3slfm35kn30fat1

It's from Natio, a local brand, literally about 20kms away. They are are vegan,no animal testing, etc and reasonably priced and can frequently be gotten on sale. However, I don't think they sell outside Australia, so I am useless I'm afraid. Story of my life!

However, it might give you a starting point.
