Botox before & afters

So pleased with my Botox before & afters.

I have had Botox twice now. The first doctor I went to seemed to give me the frozen look but I waited for it to wear off and went back elsewhere. I'm only 30 so the doctor said she felt I only needed a very small amount.

I'm really happy this time around. I know Botox isn't for everyone but I felt I looked way older than I was before because of my crows feet (I suppose having 2 kids will do that to you 😅).

I just thought I'd share my results for those of you who may be considering going for it!

What a fantastic result, you must be delighted.
I have had some today, first time, in the same place as you. I go back in two weeks, looking forward to seeing the outcome.
Did you have Botox in or very near your tear troughs ?

CatchMeOut · 11/01/2019 21:38

Sounds silly but I'm not exactly sure 😆 I'm guessing it must have been for it to have removed the lines underneath.

I'm not even sure of the quantities of Botox I had this time. The lady who gave me the Botox was the colleague of the first doctor. I told her I felt I was given a lot last time. She said "you weren't given a lot, but you were given a lot for someone your age". She said she wanted to try me with a much, much smaller amount and even mentioned negotiating a lower price for me for future appointments because the amount she's giving me is such a small amount.

I'm so pleased with how it's turned out. It's natural this time which is what I wanted. I think we can all agree my crows feet look much worse than what you would expect on a 29 year old (I was 29 when the pic was taken). I feel my age now. I don't want to look really young and I don't think Botox does that but I just felt the lines were so aging! I hope you get the results you're hoping for sugarpie 🙏🏼

What a great result, I've never considered Botox but you are a good advert for it!

CatchMeOut · 11/01/2019 22:21

Thanks so much ponks. I think what's key is that less is probably more (from my experience). I have a few fine lines on my forehead but I'm fine with that. I do want to age, just not at the rate I was before 😆

You look great, how did you find the place?

Chesneyhawkes1 · 11/01/2019 22:23

I want to start getting some soon. I've been doing my research! Looks great!

coppercolouredtop · 11/01/2019 22:25

ive often wondered about what it can do for you....

having seen that i would consider it but im not sure where!

CatchMeOut · 11/01/2019 22:33

I live in the Wiltshire area, happy to recommend the doctor if you're nearby?

You won't believe this but I was recommended a place. I googled them and clicked on their website - only it wasn't their website!!!! It was a completely different place, I didnt realise my mistake until I was on my way to their clinic, following the sat nav to the address they had given me and the penny dropped it was the wrong place!

I went into a blind panic because I obviously hadn't researched the right clinic so I almost cancelled but I did a very silly thing and risked it. I went to the appointment and the place was very professional with only doctors carrying out the procedure. I had in the back of my mind that I would back out if there was anything I wasn't happy with.

Like I said, the first doctor gave me too much but after reading up on the place, I found a lot of recommendations for another doctor at the same place. So I booked in with her and she is lovely, honest and very skilled at what she does. So pleased I found her.

She even told me she doesn't have Botox because she wasn't happy with how it looks on her. I really appreciate that kind of honesty. She's been giving Botox injections for 15 years so she's very experienced.

Thanks for your candour! So how do you start from scratch finding somewhere? I usually ask friends for recommendations for something new, with this I'm reluctant to ask!!

CatchMeOut · 12/01/2019 09:23

Italianna that's a tricky one. In my case, someone I knew was open about the fact she'd had it done so told me where she went. She was very pleased with her results so that's where I wanted to go.

Obviously, I ended up at the wrong place anyway Grin so that recommendation didn't count for much.

The place I go to has only doctors carrying out the procedure and it's also a national chain. For some reason that made me feel very comfortable about the whole thing.

Botox is easy at 30. You're young with plump skin and the Botox hasn't got much work to do. The skill with Botox is when you're 40-45+. You can't have as much otherwise it just stands out a mile against the other ageing areas of your face. I know great docs in the north west and Cheshire if anyone wants a rec.

Delatron · 12/01/2019 12:09

Completely agree trucking. I saw lots of ‘unbalanced’ faces in NYC this summer. Smooth foreheads yet the rest of the face gives it away and you can spot the ‘work’ a mile off.

You look great OP but I’ve been put off now at 43. Probably should have started in my 30s.

CatchMeOut · 12/01/2019 12:13

I'm hoping the fact I've started early will be an advantage but who knows? I really don't want to end up with a face like you describe with some parts smooth and others wrinkly. I'm happy to embrace some wrinkles but mine seemed severe for my age.

Please let me know for the northwest
Have frown lines and plucking up the courage to go ( ahead if a family wedding this year ) as I hate seeing pics of myself growing when I’m actually perfectly happy
At 55 + do you think it would’ve ok ?
But 😕 at people in30s having it done. Am I too late ??

Jacksback · 12/01/2019 12:17

Frowning not growing lol 😂

Truckingonandon · 12/01/2019 13:09

Dr Raphael Mohammed is fantastic, best in the business but a bit more expensive. Based in Liverpool.

Emma at Dermabella on the outskirts of Preston is also fab. More affordable but really good. Used to assist drs in plastic surgery and aesthetics and does a lot of training to keep her skills up to date.

TeethingBabyHelp · 12/01/2019 13:13

If anyone has any recommendations for West Midlands area I'd love to hear them!
You look great OP. I'm 32 and have been considering for the last few months (since I had DS) and I think you've sold it for me!

Delatron · 12/01/2019 13:18

I think I also worry about the wrinkles popping up elsewhere (areas harder to treat such as upper eyelids and directly below the eye). Not sure if this is an unfounded concern though!

Jacksback · 12/01/2019 16:13

Thank you , I will look these up
Thanks again 😊

Italianna · 12/01/2019 19:33

Thanks @CatchMeOut , I might be too late then! I have about 10 years on you! Also have a rather fetching '11' between my eyes I need to eradicate!

If anyone could recommend someone in Central London, or south of London please? If not, where do I start researching and what am I looking for? Doctors? Are the references to be believed?

Ollivander84 · 12/01/2019 21:43

I've just had mine done again today. Usually have azzalure but Botox is the same price so had that done

Scrubbydubby · 12/01/2019 22:17

How much does it hurt and does it bruise much after? Also, looking for recommendations Surrey/Hants border

Chesneyhawkes1 · 12/01/2019 22:18

I've found someone in Bedfordshire. I'm 40 and going to start this year 👍🏻

CatchMeOut · 12/01/2019 22:23

Scrubby i found it pretty painless. To put it into context, I found it less painful than having bloods done or a dental examination and waaaay less painful than a smear.

That may be different for others but for me pain was massively a non issue.

I haven't bruised either time. Slight redness but nothing major at all.

Good luck Chesney Grin
