So I am loosing my eyelashes due to chemo. I need to to define my eyes with eyeliner but I don't know where to start. I need a very easy to apply eyeliner that will not smudge?
Any recommendations??

For the top lid? I use the body shop one. It's really good and foolproof and I'm crap with makeup.

I have also used the YSL one which is more expensive but also a favourite

Good luck with your treatment and recovery

I got the Kat Von D tattoo liner for Christmas and I am hugely impressed with it. It is a very fine tip so easy to use but you can build it to a thicker line without it getting messy. It also stays in place all day, even in my left eye where I often get a smudge in the corner by lunch time with other eyeliners for some unknown reason.
Good luck with your recovery.

The mac liquid liner absolutely does not budge.

NARS is a good one. Incidentally, I remember Bobbi Brown wrote an article on double-lining if you don’t have lashes.

Thanks for the replies. I will have a look at all of the above. Hoping to look less like an alien!🙄😁

Stila waterproof Smudgestick is great, you can draw a harder line and not smudge it, or smudge it for a softer look. Brown is pretty and less hard. It lasts all day and is tear proof etc! I can’t use liquid liner it’s just too hard a look for me, but with this I can still get a decent flick too.

Rimmel do a fab liquid liner. Very thin brush for precision.

Lunaballoon · 10/01/2019 07:25

You might struggle with liquid liners without lashes.
Look up tightlining which you basically colour below where the lashes would have been. Good luck with your treatment!

There's a Clinique quickliner in Smokey Brown which might give the impression of lashes. It's a pencil but in a taupey colour that looks very natural I. E. like natural definition rather than "liner". There's a smudger on the end too.

Thanks everyone. I need to practice a lot! I will look up tightlining!

I second the Kat von D tattoo liner - you can do a really fine line to thicken where your lashes would be. She also does a lash liner in her range which is specifically for the lash line and would be ideal for tight lining.

A few years back I lost all my eyelashes and found that tightlining really helped define my eyes for every day - i also used some of the stick on false eyelashes for special occasions.

All the best for your treatment and recovery.

The Julep When Pencil Met Gel (gel in a pencil) eyeliner is the easiest I have found. And it stays put without smudging.

TantricTwist · 10/01/2019 20:12

I think once you practice sticking on the eyelashes a good few times you'll be able to do it really quickly in fact probably quicker than applying the eyeliner. The best glue is duo which you can buy anywhere even Primark.

marmiteloversunite · 10/01/2019 20:29

It's good to know that there is the option of false eyelashes for if I want to be fancy!! Thanks for that info on glue etc.

Mind you test the glue first on a small area first in case you are sensitive to it. Good luck with it.
