Stylish yet supportive wireless bra, does such a think exist?

Mumsnet, I need your collective wisdom. I am done with wired bras. The in wired offerings look either like something my nan would wear or like a glorified crop top. I am a d cup, so not massive but in need of decent support. Has anyone any suggestions?

You could just take the wire out of a wired bra. I've done that with one of mine and it works great. I have made a couple of bras and when you make a non-wired you still put the wire casing in (unless crop top / bralette type thing) but not the wire. I hate wires too!

I hadn't thought of doing that. May give it a whirl until I get a new bra. It can't get anymore uncomfortable.

Try independent lingerie shops, they often would stock them, generally for women who have had a mastectomy. But all styles are catered for, not hideous ugly things anymore.

I bought a Freya Deco soft cup bra after recent breast surgery, and it's very comfortable, and flattering, even on larger sizes (I am 32 G).
Be careful what you order, as there's also a wired version.
I bought mine at Bravissimo; you could have a look at it and read reviews on their website.

I recently bought an Asda one called comfort bra or similar. It’s fab. It’s not a perfect fit as I’m a 32G and these come in small/medium/large but it’s very comfy and gives adequate support although I only wear it at home personally.

Plus it’s £6 so worth a try!

I use Stella Smooth (Stella McCartney) - wireless, slightly padded, so comfortable! and give a good shape. The back sizes tend to come up small, which helps with the support. I have 3 and am still wearing while pregnant.

Boux Avenue have some really pretty ones. Primark have lots of good ones and they are cheap.

Thanks to two kids relatively close together I’ve been either pregnant or breastfeeding for a while and have stupid large boobs so normal underwires are a no go, but I really like having some proper support. My compromise is a Freya pure flexiwire nursing bra. Have them in 4 different colours. Comfy, supportive and just nice really.

Some great ideas here
I have ordered the Asda bra to start with. Thank you ladies.
