Wanted to get an idea of good brands/styles before I go shopping, as wont have time to browse with 6 week old baby.
Would prefer jeasn with some stretch in them.
Any ideas? TIA

crikey, Panna. I am almost 6 years after my last baby and still have that midriff .

Hipsters are hell with any sort of belly - just makes for a huge muffin.

Other jeans that are ludicrously comfortable are the £9 jobbies from Tescos and a £15 pair from M&S. Sounds weird but they are just the right shape (a bit higher on the waist and straight down to the leg).

One benefit of being a column shape is flat tummy, have never had big jelly belly - but do have flat, slightly saggy arse instead!!
Will check out M&S thanks.
Any other ideas anyone?

wallis seem to have more belly room than many

Skribble · 27/06/2007 23:08

M&S do normal waisted jeans too, high enough to contain the muffin tops.

Sorry I meant

New Look - they are called Hula

I did the Per Uns ones, too. They don't wash that well to be honest, but they're cheap and cheerful and, as someone said previously, they're very inoffensive (straight, dark etc). Fairly good at concealing the mummy tummy, especially the dreaded c-section overhang :-) , although there are probably expensive brands out there that are better (she says, weeping at the thought of gorgeous £200 jeans she can't afford).

xx

If nothing else suits i was reading that Selfridges have a special thing (note tech term) that scans you and produces your perfect jeans with pockets in most flattering place and size (Whole bum size for me please) and all for the said £200 (I'll have 3 pairs please!)

Do you think i should blow my entire autum/winter/birthday/christmas budget on one pair of jeans sooooo tempted.

pollywollydoodle · 30/06/2007 10:05

they are said to be so comfortable that you could live in them (at that price you'd need to!)

Tamdin · 30/06/2007 10:07

for all mankind. expensive but imo best/most flattering jeans

Pannacotta · 30/06/2007 11:28

I love my Seven for all mankind jeans but cannot afford them as temporary jeans...
