Where can I find a similar jumper to this?

This one, pictured, is Celine, and out of my price range. But I love it. I know it's plain and simple but I'm finding it hard to find a slightly cropped one, thick with ribbed cuffs. Any ideas? I've tried Zara, M&S....

I got a similar one from Topshop. More beige than cream, but the same kind of look.

KimchiLaLa · 27/12/2018 20:18

Thanks Daria32, is it this season?

Oh, that's gorgeous. How much is it? Is it in any sales at all..?

Personally, I'd buy it and then give up food for a month, or whatever it took. It's impossible to find a stand-in that you'll love as much. You'll just spend the same amount, eventually, on inferior lookalikes.

KimchiLaLa · 27/12/2018 22:02

So funny you say that AnnuvaMuvva because that is pretty much what happens to me! But it is celine so I'd imagine v v expensive and I haven't even bothered to look up the price. The blogger in question was trying it on at Bicester...

Oh my word, almost a grand!

Is that an option? I was sort of basing my comment on the jumper being around £200. But £920?! Even I - the biggest, self-delusional spendthrift in town - would find that a stretch. I spent £650 on a coat once and that was bad enough.

I think I'd be researching wool, knitting patterns, and a talented granny.

AnuvvaMuvva · 27/12/2018 22:29

Mind you -- if you don't spend £920 on a jumper, that does sort of free you up to spend loads on a different jumper. It sort of opens the financial floodgates to suddenly let through a £300 jumper, which wouldn't have been an option before. I realise this directly contradicts my earlier advice, but the earlier advice was about trying to replicate the original jumper. This is just about opening up to buying other, still vastly overpriced but not quite £920, items of clothing.

But really don't listen to me. I'm always broke because of stuff like this!

I saw an amazing cream jumper in the window of Fenwick today. Chunky, cropped, but maybe with a polo neck. It was divine but I couldn't see the label. I'll have a look online.

AnuvvaMuvva · 27/12/2018 22:36

Ok, the Fenwick website is hopeless and doesn't show clothes. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sorry!

GypsyRoseTea · 27/12/2018 22:38

I’m pretty sure I saw one like that last week.

I would get tomato sauce down that on day one.

Have a look round tkmaxx maybe or ebay for chunky knit white jumper

fannyanddick · 27/12/2018 22:42

Haha gypsy. Agree if is quite home knit look. Maybe commission an adept granny to make it for you!

SuperstarDJ · 28/12/2018 00:34

This? Though not sure if it’s oversized enough - it looks more fitted.

SuperstarDJ · 28/12/2018 00:36

In fact, scrap the above, it doesn’t have ribbed cuffs. River Island had big chunky oversized jumpers if you want to look on their website though the quality of their knit wear is a bit meh imo.

seefeld · 28/12/2018 07:12

Have you looked at Other Stories? They do some great knits.

CountFosco · 28/12/2018 07:42

Toast have quite a few boxy jumpers with deep ribbing, nothing in cream though but might be worth a look. Easy Merino jumper might be a posdibility if you're flexible on colour?

KimchiLaLa · 28/12/2018 08:28

Thanks for your responses all - yes I know it could be a bit granny like!

I did check and other stories and they do have a similar style but it's beige, so quite different really.
