Mixing two Schwarzkopf box dyes - help!

I've been dying my hair a variety of different colours for years now, but never have I mixed two different shades together (been a bit of a wuss!)

As per usual, I've bought from the Schwarzkopf XXL Live collection (my go to for red shades!) but this time, I've picked up two Amethyst Chrome's and an Ultra Violet.

I'm just wondering if you can actually mix two shades from the same brand? Or if the colours will react badly with each other?

I could obviously just use the two amethysts if needs be, then use the ultra violet for a root touch up in a couple months time, but I was hoping to blend the two colours together and see if it comes out a bit more 'multi-tonal'

Thanks!

(Will attach screenshots of the two dyes to see if any of you think it will work!)

You can mix them, but it’s just about the worst thing you can use on your hair.

Based on reviews online - the ultra violet has a slight 'red/raspberry' tinge to it and the amethyst is more purple.

@PoutySprout Purple dye? Or Schwarzkopf?
I've always got on really well with their red shades so no complaints there, can't say I've noticed much/any damage at all after a full coverage with red, so assumed purple would be no harsher?

Why not streak it?

It won't come out 'multi-tonal' but you can definitely mix them. They will blend together and be fine. Slightly different from the colour you've been using, but fine. (The multi-tonal effect is an application process, not a simple mixing of colours in one pot!)

It’s not about damage - the metallic salts that make the colour so vibrant penetrate the hair shaft so can’t be removed, even by pro hairdressers. I used their purple dye for years. When I wanted to change the only way was to grow it out. Took 2 years. :(

I’ve recently gone back to purple. I have my hair professionally highlighted and then use Arctic Fox purple dye over. It’s semi permanent and I dye it monthly, but it’s really good for hair and the colour grabs brilliantly.
