Quick question - if you had £200 to spend, what would you buy?

Just that. DH wants to buy me a Christmas around 200 quid. I am struggling. I have watches and bags, so no more of them.

I fancied an extravagant furry coat but they don't suit me.

Need some style and beauty suggestions.

Personally a capsule maternity wardrobe but I’m guessing that you don’t need that.

If there’s nothing you actually need or want I’d do a weekend break.

Fairylightfurore · 15/12/2018 13:22

Any local activities you want to do? Yoga, Art classes etc

LuxuryWoman2018 · 15/12/2018 13:23

Good quality boots? The entire range of your favourite perfume (the shower gel, soap etc.)

Diamond studs, high end makeup, new suitcase, gorgeous nightwear/underwear. Purse, card holder, cashmere.

bingohandjob · 15/12/2018 15:17

Indulgent www.joloves.com/fragrance-discovery-gift-experience-100ml.html or practical, I'd go for pair of fab boots or Parlux hairdryer or Hershesons hair styling tool.

tierraJ · 15/12/2018 15:36

Clinique smart Repair serum £71.

Vouchers for Boots, M&S underwear, Figleaves (underwear & bikins), River Island, Accessorize/ Monsoon, Zara.

GHD curl wand. £120.

Floisme · 15/12/2018 15:36

How important is it (to both you and him) to have something to open on Christmas Day? Cos if it was me, I would give him a big hug then hold my nerve and stalk these into the late January sales:
This
This
or this although the colour might not work for me.
Or this although it will probably still be over budget.
Or these

Smashpumpkin · 15/12/2018 15:39

**tierraJ Are the GHD wands any good?

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 15/12/2018 15:43

Botox Xmas Smile

BlueUggs · 15/12/2018 15:49

Don't bother with diamond studs for £200. They'll either be tiny or really poor quality.
If I had £200, I'd buy decent jeans.

BillywigSting · 15/12/2018 15:50

A good quality pair of boots and a cashmere jumper

Truckingonandon · 15/12/2018 17:41

Botox.

Mercurial123 · 15/12/2018 17:45

I'd wait for the sales and get a Ryan Roche cashmere sweater. Amazing quality and supporting a small business.

Lumene · 15/12/2018 19:40

Some good boots or plenty of nice underwear

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 15/12/2018 19:43

Cashmere scarf. Already have a couple but I could always do with another. Hush in leopard print, or Hush in star pattern. Or Aspinal, in burgundy.

A silk scarf, or maybe two.

Jewellery. Probably Georg Jensen.

Purse, most likely from Mulberry. With a key ring to match.

Pompom hat and scarf from Amelia Jane.

Timberland boots.

Wool cape, from Barbour (I do love a cape).

Blazer, from Barbour or maybe Joules.

Red tote bag from Aspinal.

Sigh. So many things.

PoohBearsHole · 15/12/2018 19:43

I’d go with a cashmere dressing gown (cold house) or cashmere leggings.

ihatehoney · 15/12/2018 19:44

Pay off some of my debt. Easier in the long run than just splashing it and still have some debt. (I don't have loads- around £400)

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 15/12/2018 19:45

Oh, oh! A leather skirt in burgundy.

Or a pair of brogues or similar from Russell & Bromley (might have to wait for the January sales for that one).

truthtopower · 15/12/2018 19:57

Weekend cosy cottage and hiking

LadyOfTheCanyon · 15/12/2018 20:02

Botox. But tricky as I'm planning on it in the new year and don't want DP to know. So maybe boots. Or Hourglass stuff.

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 15/12/2018 20:10

Good pair of dressy boots. Hobbs, maybe?

Mongolian wool scarf, navy. Can’t remember where I saw it but it was lovely.

Merino wool dress.

ihatehoney · 15/12/2018 21:36

@LadyOfTheCanyon secret Botox! I like it😁 hope it goes well in the New Years

Sarcelle · 15/12/2018 22:59

Thanks all. Goes off to investigate. But no Botox or maternity wear!

The GHD wand is good, my hairdresser uses it but I've been given a similar Remington wand that my sister doesn't use & it seems good so far, not sure how much it cost.
