My 16yo has onefrom Primark (beige) and one from Urban Outfitters (grey)
They are warm but pretty fugly .
She loves them Grin but she's at the age where "Its Fashion" is king .

AgathaF · 10/12/2018 17:49

Nice for teenagers but not for adults. I think they look a bit cheap.

doeswhatitsaysonthetin · 10/12/2018 17:51

I've got one half price from Lidl, supposed to be red, looks brown/rust, everyone wants to cuddle it!

Ploppymoodypants · 10/12/2018 17:55

I have a tomato red one. I love it and am nearly 40. I wear it a lot. DH hates with with a passion and says I look like Elmo 😁

Veganfortheanimals · 10/12/2018 17:58

I've got one from new look..I'm toasty warm in it.its cream .mine is from the curves range,I paid £30... simply be have a similar one at £70 .but the larger sizes are sold out

silkpyjamasallday · 10/12/2018 18:01

They are so so bad for shedding micro plastics, and look shitty fairly quickly, they are warm but in a sweaty plasticky way. Save your money and wait for the trend to die. Buy a proper wool coat that will last decades and not poison the ocean.

HundredMilesAnHour · 10/12/2018 18:04

I must admit that I dislike them. But I dislike the "it's fashion" bland excuse for wearing horrible things as 1) try having your own style rather than slavishly following 'fashion' and 2) it isn't even 'fashion' by the time it's reached the high street and everyone is wearing it. The actual fashion crowd moved on many months ago.

1wokeuplikethis · 10/12/2018 18:08

Hmm I keep seeing them, I must admit the first time I genuinely wondered if the woman had come out in her dressing gown, and this is precisely the reason why I’ll swerve this trend!

Having said that, I would LOVE to go out in my dressing gown if this was acceptable, so I should maybe embrace it. But, it’s just a little bit too crazy bag/cat lady. Plus, nobody will be wearing them next winter (secretly prays actual dressing gowns will be The Look next year)

HildaZelda · 10/12/2018 18:39

No. Just no. I'm a size 6-8. I tried one on the other day out of curiosity. I looked like the Michelin man's big sister (literally!) on a really bad day.

Shitonthebloodything · 10/12/2018 18:42

I love them but I don't think they'd be very flattering on my current 3 sizes larger-than-usual frame.

PickAChew · 10/12/2018 18:54

They look like they'd be crap in the rain.

digbymacbingley · 10/12/2018 18:59

They look awful. Why do so many people look so bad just because it is fashionable?

Sitranced · 10/12/2018 19:06

They look inside out. I'd want the fluffyness on the inside where I can feel it all nice and cosy not on the outside where it collects every tiny bit of fluff which you can't brush off.

Ellapaella · 10/12/2018 19:11

I have one. I agree they are probably not to everyone's taste but I'm quite fond of mine. It's very warm and cosy but so far I've only really worn it when walking the dog on the beach on cold mornings.

princesstiasmum · 10/12/2018 22:08

I tried one on in topshop,it looked awful on me,but i am only 6ft and looked buried in it, my daughter got one but it shed a lot, and the reviews were not very good re the shedding,
She returned it but got one from Zara, which is much nicer and doesnt shed, but she says its not that warm, unless you wear something warm under it,

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/12/2018 22:16

I have a Whistles one which is on its third winter. It’s a good cut, not too bulky, and very, very cosy. I got it in the sale, but it was still quite expensive - I saw it as a bit of an investment and am slightly pissed off they are so “in” this year and it might look dated next year.

lifebeginz · 11/12/2018 08:16

I feel the same as a PP in that I am disappointed the fluffiness isn't on the inside!!! I went and had a look yesterday and not one of them was warm inside......PS I have a smart wool coat, and a waxed jacket, and a padded dog walking jacket. But it doesn't make me want to cuddle into a teddy jacket any less :)

I'd probably buy one and only wear it in the house as a dressing gown haha!
