lol at bunion shoe!

Idreamofdaleks · 24/06/2007 20:53

So mad is OK, crazy is OK, insane is not OK

Surely crocs are most similar to the clogs worn by theatre staff in hospitals? If you had been sectioned you'd probably be wearing slippers whilst in hospital. Similar shoes have been sold for years (in green) for keen gardeners to wear instead of wellies. I don't think they are institutionalised.

twinsetandpearls · 24/06/2007 20:55

Well I do say to dp "You are driving me mad" at which point he will then say " no change there then" But he is my partner and we have been to hell and back together. I know that if I felt hurt he would stop it.

I can't think of a reason I would call someone else mad TBH

Idreamofdaleks · 24/06/2007 20:58

so mad, crazy and insane should all be censored words

Blimey. I think that is nuts.

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 24/06/2007 20:59

I never said I wanted to censor you, I said the exact opposite infact. WhatI did say was that they would be words that I would not use.

Yes, that's it hatrick.

OP, you were mocking crocs, and saying those who wear them look like they have a mental illness.

How can you justify that?

twinsetandpearls · 24/06/2007 21:02

I don't even want to stop you insulting people , well that is not true of course I wish you would as your words are hurtful but if knowing that you wish to conitnue that is your choice.

Idreamofdaleks · 24/06/2007 21:03

I am insulting crocs wearers, not folk with illnesses

I think you are all bonkers harping on about depression which has got nothing to do with it

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 24/06/2007 21:05

None of us have an issue with you feeling the need to take the piss out of people wearing a shoe, it is the words you choose.

BorisofWales · 24/06/2007 21:05

Yes, insulting croc wearers by saying they belong in a mental asylum.

Which means they are "mental"

Are you just being obtuse or can you seriously not see why we're offended?

and yes I have been bonkers to but that doesn't stop me knowing that depression has something to do with being insititutionalised in asylums for the insane.

lulumama · 24/06/2007 21:06

also, it is manners, when you have offended people, deliberately or not..to apologise, rather than to carry on justifying the words

insane , asylum, institusionalised.... all refer to mental illness ie depression .....

lulumama · 24/06/2007 21:07

and carrying on saying we are bonkers and nuts doesn;t really help....

Idreamofdaleks · 24/06/2007 21:07

sorry all of you can we be friends now
