Comfy jeans and jeggings with a prolapse?

I've had to stop wearing all of my jeans and jeggings since my prolapse became very symptomatic (cystocele). The pressure on my waist seems to push the bladder downwards. My BMI is fine, so losing weight isn't going to help. Are there any brands you'd recommend as I'm getting sick of always wearing dresses with loose-ish tights. Thanks

Does the rise make any difference?
I like White Stuff Jade jeggings. Highish rise and very comfortable.

Thanks, I'll take a look. It's the pressure being on the lower tummy I think, nothing feels comfy anymore.

I have ibs so like things comfy on my tummy. I like next jegging. The are quite giving on the waist.

Ive got a cystocele as well. Higher waist is definitely the way forward - I’ve got some very stretchy skinny jeans from e’spirit that are great for not squeezing my bladder out but unfortunately so stretchy they fall down, some high-waisted Eden jeggings from Dorothy Perkins which are perfect, and also find I can wear my not-stretchy vintage Levi’s (501s) because they sit high so don’t seem to bugger it up.

I’ve also found loads of relief through a combination of kegels (nhs Squeezy app, 4 sets a day, boring as watching paint dry but slowly slowly helps), electrical stimulation (saw continence nurse at hospital for this but it’s basically a kegel8 machine), and vaginal estrogen pessaries (still breastfeeding). Enough of an improvement for me to start running again with no deterioration (I do use a ring pessary to run, plus EVB support shorts), so worth investigating if you’ve not already.

(Jumpsuits or Lucy & Yak dungarees also good if that’s your style. And it may be worth trying a pessary if you’ve not already; I just use mine for impact exercise but have tried it on draggy days as well and it does help)

Thanks so much Verbena! This is really helpful. I'm hoping to get a pessary soon...on a waiting list. Will try your suggestions. Great to hear there is hope of improvement

Definitely hope for improvement! Is yours childbirth related? Mine was apparent pretty soon after baby arrived and got worse as I got well enough to be up and about hulking my 10lb9oz chunk in the sling, but I noticed a definite improvement in symptoms about 7 months in, then another improvement at about a year, so it’s infuriatingly slow but can and does happen. Haley Shevener is inspiring to follow on Instagram - positive and proactive and not doom-mongering like lots of the stuff you find via desperate broken-fanny-sadness googling (maybe that’s just me, but I really felt so sad and shit about it for ages).

Thanks Verbena. I'll look her up. Yes childbirth related but I'm much more symptomatic now 5 years later. Positive sites sound good!!

Oh how blooming annoying. Really hope things improve again for you (and in the meantime, may your jeans be comfy!)

Smile thanks
