Can anyone suggest 'soft' supportive bra for 34E

14 months on from gallbladder removal I’ve been left with discomfort in right side which is made considerably worse if I wear my normal bras.

I’ve changed from 32F to 34E to see if bigger back measurement would help but hasn’t made any significant difference. I wear sports bras now at weekend but they just don’t work with work and / or smart clothes.

I do need proper support (late 40’s so gravity in action !).

Drs can’t find anything specific wrong so think it’s something I’m just going to have to live with.

I'm 34E too and find Victoria's Secret to be the most comfy bras. I get the 34 DDD there.

Get yourself to bravissimo (even if it's a few hours away). I have back, neck and shoulder problems (injuries and my stupid immune system attacked my own nerve). Bras were making my pain worse.

Then I travelled a couple of hours to my nearest bravissimo - the bra fit so perfectly it didn't even feel like I was wearing one! It supports perfectly and helps my pain, instead of worsening it.

I've got a Doreen too and a Playtex 18hr comfort strap bra. No underwire in either but they give very firm support, not stretchy like a bralette. I originally bought them to fit into vintage clothes better but now I wear them with everything. Admittedly this style looks quite pointy to a modern eye but it holds everything forward and up and I think it makes me look tidier (and the pointiness is softened somewhat under clothing). If you need the fabric to be stretchy they may not work for you.
Sorry your surgery left you with discomfort, what a disappointing outcome.

You've had lots of good suggestions already but I just wanted to add the Sugar Candy non-wired bra. I have the nursing version (with clips) and it's very comfortable and gives a surprising amount of support.

I also suggest that you double check your size using boob or bust. If your true size is a 32F you won't necessarily be more comfortable in a 34E as it won't be an ideal fit.

Freya sports bras are pretty good. I've worn them to work.

I've had my Molke a while and it hasn't stretched (not that I can notice anyway!)
I'm a 34JJ/K

Holidayshopping · 12/12/2018 18:05

Ollivander-can I am what size you wear? I’m a 34FF and have ordered a medium cosmic.

Ollivander84 · 12/12/2018 18:07

Sure I'm a medium Mega Smile

Branleuse · 12/12/2018 19:09

i think medium cosmic will be just right, but if its not, she will swap it no problem if its just tried on and not worn properly
