Face powder recommendations!

Does anyone have any good setting powder recommendations that can go on top of a CC foundation, and doesn't sit inside the pores on your nose and make them look like giant dust puddles?!

Something has happened with my skin which means the stuff I currently use (LOreal True Match) is looking terrible on me, and by the end of the day I can see the white circles of powder in each and every single pore on my nose...

I really like Clinique Blended loose powder.
Have heard great things about Cover FX Perfect powder as well.

Laura Geller Balance & Brighten is a powder foundation but I often use it lightly over the top of a tinted moisturiser. I love it and always keep it in my handbag for midday touch ups. It doesn't sit inside my pores.

I’m not sure about powder but I really liked true match for a while but recently it didn’t last very long and I looked awful by 10am. I’ve just bought the ordinary full coverage foundation and it is staying on much longer - it’s only £6. They do a serum one too that I might try next

The Body Shop powder foundation 'face base' is brilliant - similar to NARS old one but much cheaper esp if you order when it's 40% off. I have large pores and although I have to reapply to oily patches occasionally, this does settle really nicely on my skin.

I use Hourglass ambient powder in Dim Light then a dusting of Guerlain’s Les Meteorites over the top.

talcum powder - circa £1.50

Honestly. I use high end make up but talc to set my foundation.

Yes, Kiko invisible powder.

Eatmycheese · 06/12/2018 19:24

Daniel sandler invisible veil blotting powder is very good and lasts a long time.

Wow, loads of different options to think about - it doesn't have to be loose powder, can be compact too. Will check out review for all these! Thanks!

Laura Mercier translucent setting powder.

GetOffTheTableMabel · 06/12/2018 20:04

Another vote for Hourglass Ambient Lighting in Dim Light.
For loose powder I rate the new Charlotte Tilbury Magic Powder.
I am quite wrinkly under the eyes and this does not settle into my fine lines.

Rmca loose powder is great. I would also use a setting spray it gets rid of any excess powder.

LadyLapsang · 06/12/2018 21:12

Another vote for Hourglass

readyplayer · 06/12/2018 21:19

Hourglass. Honestly. You won't regret it. Go to a counter (I went to John Lewis) to find the right shade.

Innisfree no sebum powder.
Light and silica based, so looks and feels really natural on the skin, without drying it out.

Too faced peach perfect loose setting powder. Matifying, but not drying.

I also brush over my eyebrows and eyelids before eyeliner and eyebrow pencil.
They do not budge all day.

Beautifullymixed · 07/12/2018 07:15

I also love Etude house zero sebum powder.
Another light, silica based powder.
Takes away the shine and blurs pores, without drying the skin.

BurpAndRustle · 07/12/2018 07:22

Pacifica Lotus powder
