I had my second DS 7 months ago, I am not breast feeding and have had an implant in place for around 3-4 months. My skin will not settle down!! I'm getting really bad break outs of cystic acne on my face, particularly on my chin every 4-5 days although it is now starting to spread to my cheeks and forehead again leaving dark marks/scars. These are really large, red, sore spots up to around 10mm across that do not form a head, I'm clear for literally a day or two before breaking out again. I had really bad acne through my teens and in to my mid 20s (I'm mid 30s now) and ended up taking Roaccutaine to get rid of it but now I have kidney disease (stage 3) I don't really want to go down the medication route again to sort it as this wouldn't be great for my kidneys. Are there any good budget creams or lotions or skin care routines anyone can recommend? I've been using clearasil pads and on the spot treatment and a light L'Oréal day cream moisturiser so far. I drink plenty of water and tea only, don't drink alcohol at all. Diet could probably be improved to be fair. Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes buy Differin through the Boots Acne Clinic online and state you havent seen a Dr already re acne. Its around £25 a tube and will take a few weeks to sort out. You then collect it from your local Boots with a pharmacy

Till then buy some Paulas Choice 2% BHA skin perfecting lotion from Look fantastic or Paulas Choice web site. You can try the tester first which is £6-£8 if you want. It's fantastic stuff for spot prone skin.

I would also recommend using Superdrugs Simply Pure hydrating serum as a moisturiser afterwards.

Wash your face in the mornings and evenings before using the 2% BHA with Murad clarifying face wash which you can buy from M&S and probably also Look fantastic.

Good luck I hope it clears for you soon.

Nars Tinted moisturiser is a great foundation to use as a cover up if you want to it is very pigmented but not to heavy and has good ingredients for you skin. You can use it a few minutes after applying the Simply Pure serum which will also work as a primer.
