Scarred nose

I have several scars on my nose caused by cysts. I have one particularly deep one about 2mm wide and deep. They look like craters. People always stare at my nose when they are talking to me and it makes me feel a bit crap. Make-up sits in them and does not conceal. Has anyone had a truly successful treatment to reduce these kind of scars? Any advice much appreciated.

Sending a hug. I have a scar on my nose from a dog bite. 20 sutures in all the length of my nose. Its old now and has faded a lot but have a bit between my eye that is a deep gouge ( lovely 😊) I have always just plastered it with concealer TBH. I think there are charities that teach make up sessions for facial scaring. Might be worth having a google. Xx

Thanks. How awful to be scarred by a dog bite like that. Have you ever thought of an abrasive or laser treatment for it? I'm hoping someone will tell me they did and it worked... or a make up that conceals pitted holes.

It is possible to get these corrected. With a combination of chemical peel / microdermabrasion/ fillers. You’d need to see a very good facial aesthetic surgeon I think.

Thanks for the replies . I wonder if a chemical peel would make any improvement then - it could be worth a try...

They are probably looking at your face/eyes when talking to you, and not particularly your nose, but it feels like like it to you.

Have you looked at dermaneedling (single needle) and suction? The old owndoc forum has lots of info about this. Good luck!

I'd like to think they are just looking at my face but people do look at my nose a lot when I'm talking in close proximity. I'm sure they don't intend to, but they do. I've never heard of derma needling with suction. I'll look it up, thanks.
