Michael Kors or Kate spade?

In New York and tomorrow is my last day. Found some lovely bags and have a lot of left over money...

So which bag? The Kate Spade ones are more expensive but so pretty!

Or would you be sensible and put the money back into £a and put it into savings?

There are so many Kors handbags on outlet websites, it just looks cheap now to me.

And never ever be sensible about money when in NY!!!!

I’d go Kate Spade - I feel that Michael Kors has rather had its moment. This may not matter at all, but besides that, IMO Kate Spade is a more subtle and elegant design, and also v v good quality.
Not saying the MK is bad quality, but KS hold the shape better in my experience, so a good choice for a bag that can be used for work or leisure.

Michael Kors has gone the way Burberry did a few years back, I reckon. It's everywhere.

Kate Spade. I'd go for the purple, but that's just a personal taste thing, they're both nice bags.

The blue Kate Spade- you would definitely get lots of use out of it and it would go with more things!

The blue Kate Spade, definitely. I have a similar bag in black and I love it - it’s such good quality and I use it every day.

Blue Kate Spade! I've been lucky enough to have a KS bag and it lasted years with daily use, so well made. Plus that's the most beautiful bag of the three (in my opinion)

Definitely the blue Kate Spade.

The plum KS bag. Nothing wrong with a MK but I think you'll regret it if you don't go for the other one.

Is there really a reason to be SO snide about MK bags? The majority of people reading the S&B forum probably has one (or have had one) and some saved really hard to buy it, so it is just snobby and rude.

Definately kate spade, the blue one is lovely. Never MK! I have a couple of their bags I feel I can't wear anymore I worry people will think they're fake!

I feel the same with my LV bag, that it looks fake. I am ridiculous.
Both the LV and MK bags are well made and so light to carry, they are a better choice for my posture than my heavy Mulberry and Mark Jacobs bags.
Coach I love as they are inbetween.

For what it is worth, I love my MK Astor bag and will wear it to death.

I've read a lot of bad things about MK and had to ask why too. I've had a MK bag for about 6 years and it's held up really well. Right now I'm using a Knomo Beauchamp but that's mainly because a backpack suits me better with a baby to look after.

That said , the KS just looks more special and I love the plum colour.
