Warm winter trousers?

After 8yrs of full on mumming my style has left the building.

I spent much of last winter freezing to death in play grounds. This year I've got my hands on a warm and appropriate length coat. But my legs! They get freezing cold in jeans, which seem just too thin to keep me warm. Not sure I want to be in a pair of craghoppers though...

What do you wear to hang around play grounds in the winter?

A good quality coat that comes down to my calves. I'm too fat to wear a quilted type coat but as long as my thighs are warm then I'm warm.
I also wear earmuffs over a woolly hat. Gosh I look a treat😂

Fleece lined joggers, long wool socks, thermal leggings under jeans... jeans are too cold. Corduroy is better.

Tights under cords.
Tights under Uniqlo heattech velvet leggings.
Tights under jeans with kneehigh boots.

I am a very cold person.

I've just got some fleece-lined jeans from Amazon, I like them!

These are super cosy, if you don't mind looking like you're wearing pantaloons made out of a duvet www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-British-Army-Reversible-Trousers/dp/B00F6VZW4W?tag=mumsnetforum-21 .

Uniqlo sell windproof, fleece lined trousers that look like basic, normal trousers. Their velvet leggings are also good, as PP mentioned.

I suffer from the same problem and have discovered that I'm infinitely warmer in fleece lined leggings + cashmere or merino dress than in any type of trousers.
