So I am becoming a bit hairy on my top lip, it's light coloured hair but there nonetheless. I've had threading before and it's mind blowingly painful so I need alternatives, particularly something I can do at home. Cheers

Shave/dermaplane. I whip all the peach fuzz off with a scalpel

Torvi · 23/11/2018 08:32

I also dermaplane with the unfortunately named tinkle razors from eBay. Cheap as chips and lasts me a few weeks. My makeup goes on so much better.

Primark do, or used to do a tiny razor to defuzz the peach. I know all us ladies have the tiny bit of natural nearly invisible fine hair to protect the skin on the sides of our face, upper lip etc. But it can get still get clogged up with makeup, no matter how fantastic your makeup routine is.

I found the tiny razor defuzzes and exfoliates the skin at the same time. As mentioned by other posters, there are a few good ones on the market.
A word of warning though, if you have very fine hair, it will Sting and hurt more, than actually listening to Stings music. So if you have fair or sensitive skin, patch test first Smile

@dawsonforehead, reporting back without success.
My lip hairs are very fine and fair but quite long and it didn't pull any of them out.
I think I've got the twisty action although I'm not very fast. Do you make it into a shall or wide U?

LoniceraJaponica · 24/11/2018 09:27

Jayfee I use an epilator on my face and don't get ingrown hairs or spots. I do get them on my legs though.

Dawsonforehead · 24/11/2018 18:53

potentiallypainful thank you for the update, sorry you are still with hair! This is the YouTube video that I found most helpful because she does it in slow motion

It should be held in an 'n' shape, slightly shallow. On the video she holds the spring rather than the handles, try that? It removes even the shortest hairs so should definitely be able to remove yours. You will feel it when it works! Keep us posted...

I have the spring thing but have an IPL and am thinking of using it on my tash as the spring thing gives me spots

MiniCooperLover · 24/11/2018 19:02

Thanks all, will get it waxed next time I have time to head to a salon and see how we get on from there 👍
