Bra fitting

Hi ladies

I need to be measured for a bra. Can anyone recommend a good place to be fitted?

I was going to try M&S but I've seen a few threads or comments not long ago saying the fitting service isn't as good as it used to be.

Do you have a measuring tape and you could get an idea of a starting size from that?

booborbust.com/

I went to Rigby and Peller. The lady didn't even use a tape measure, did it by eye, and the bras she recommended fitted perfectly.

I'm too far from London to justify going all the way down there for a fitting.

Shame.

Use the booborbust calculator and then try lots on in the sizes it suggests. Rigby and Peller and Bravissimo are the only places I’d trust to measure anyone, the calculator is the best place to start.

If you’re at the bigger end of the spectrum try Bravissimo. They don’t use measuring tapes either. I went in a 36D and came out a36F. They stock a good selection of lingerie too.... I tend to give M&S a swerve.

I had my boobs done a month ago. I was really Uneven before and I haven't been measured before.

I want to go and get measured and but proper fitting bras that will support me.

I'm quite excited tbh.

Try boob or bust it's brilliant but I suggest buying from eBay and the BoB second hand fb page. Until you find your perfect fit.

Spirited I'm going to try Bravissimo next for bras - R & P were great, but the bras themselves are very expensive. I was lucky as I had a voucher from my boss but it's very £££ for every day stuff. Likewise, I went in to R & P having been wearing a 36D (measured by M & S) and came out as a 34F!

Britney it is amazing how different it makes you feel when you get the proper size. It changes the way you stand, the fit of your clothes, everything. It's great.

Well hopefully my stitches will be out end of next week (I had a few complications so recovery has been a bit longer) and then I can go.

I am going to go Bravissimo we have one here in town.

I think I was a b on one side and a c on the other I reckon I might be a double d now but after reading some
Of the comments I could well be in a bigger cup!

Apologies for just leaving a link and no comment, I think I must have gotten distracted!
Just wanted to add to other comments; I was measured at John Lewis as a 34D and left knowing the bra didn't fit but was desperate. I really think stores try to fit you into their stock. The BoB calculated put me at a 30G which Bravissimo confirmed. Takes a little while to get used to how tight a bra band needs to be - but it makes such a difference having a properly fitting bra!

OhFlipMama · 26/11/2018 20:56

Regarding thinking you may be in a bigger size than expected - my first Boob or Bust measurements gave me 30G! I was in a standard 34D. It's made so much difference.

Ofchris · 26/11/2018 21:15

Definitely try Bravissimo. I haven’t been measured in years. I was struggling to find bras in 42C. They didn’t measure but judged by eye - came out 38f and best fitting bra for years!
