Hi.

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for the best body lotion and oils to use during pregnancy to help keep your skin hydrated and lovely.

Thanks in advance xx

I used Palmers cocoa butter. The one in the bottle. I liked it, not sure if it helped or not!

Thank you! Some of the others are just so expensive! X

I’ve been using the Burt’s bees oil - it’s natural and soaks in really nicely

I have four children, but no stretch marks, with my first child someone told me to put baby oil in bath, which I do always, I feel fat and unatractive, but my skin is soft, have always used body lotion and have tried loads, but for me Vaseline intensive care, the yellow one, also alveena is great.

I think stretch marks in pregnancy are down to luck. I put on a lot of weight (4 stone!) and very luckily didn’t get any. I rarely bothered with any creams or oils. I was given some bio oil but found it really greasy. I like the palmers one, but probably only used it once a week if that, so I don’t think it made any difference.

Congrats on your pregnancy Flowers

I bought a bottle of sweet almond oil really cheaply, think it was from Superdrug. Just rub a few drops into damp skin after a bath or shower and it makes your skin lovely and soft.

You would think it would make you feel all greasy but it sinks in really quickly and I don't have any stretch marks. It also doesn't contain any dodgy chemicals.

I like baby oil in bath as have really dry skin, I had an operation and couldn’t bath for six weeks, my legs were so scaled the skin was flaking off like dust, I don’t think I would like oil rubbed straight on skin though, perhaps I was lucky getting no stretch marks on tummy, one of my four boys was huge.

Jar Coconut oil, organic pure
you think it would be greasy when you put it in your hands but when you rub it on it isn’t
Asda, Lidl, Aldi about £3
