Touche Eclat - true miracle worker or yet another marketing con?

Ok, I have held out for a long time. I first heard about it on MN. I like make up. I buy nice stuff. If I spend any money on ME it will be on nice make up. I only buy a certain brand of skincare that can't be bought in the shops but with make up I am a sucker for advertising. I have, over the years, been sucked into all sorts of things promising me longer lashes, fuller lips, etc etc etc.
So, what is so great about Touch Eclat? Do I have to have it? Will it change my life like my GHD hair straightners did?

I like it

inamuckingfuddle · 20/06/2007 19:49

boing is better

I heard Clinique made M&S stuff...

rantinghousewife · 20/06/2007 19:53

I use the boots one, (have used the ysl one, there's not a tenners difference in it tho') I always rinse the brush once a week with a bit of shampoo.
Swear by ysl mascara tho', deffo the best.

binkleandflip · 20/06/2007 19:55

I also rate YSL mascara but touche eclat i'm a bit over now. Also, perfect and protect serum - haven't noticed any real effects apart from a sudden spate of lots of little yellow spots so in that respect it IS giving me a more youthful appearance, just not really what I was after

paulaplumpbottom · 20/06/2007 22:49

I used to think it was a miracle product but Clinique's is actually a bit better

ghosty · 20/06/2007 22:49

hmmm ... ver interesting comments ... how much does it cost in the UK?
Costs Aus$75 - which is kind of a lot of money for a concealer IMO ...

About £21 or £17 duty free

electra · 20/06/2007 22:51

Don't rate it myself - I find it too dry.

ghosty · 20/06/2007 22:52

How long would it last then?

OP posts:

if it is a miracle worker (like my GHDs) I don't care how much it costs ... tbh

I heard that thorntons make M&S chocolate but am guessing all these rumours are just M&S publicity department in overdrive.

Love touche eclait but brush can go a bit smelly (euughh!)

Am going to try boing next as has a much better name - less ponce more fun.

binkleandflip · 20/06/2007 22:53

Depends on use..I use mine usually once a day and it lasts about a month - 6 weeks on average

ghosty · 20/06/2007 22:54

What is boing?

OP posts:
ghosty · 20/06/2007 22:55

A month????? Sorry but a months worth at that price it would have to be a miracle worker

v interesting to see so many people allergic to it. it made my eyes really really sore / red / scaly / itchy and i've never been allergic to anything else, ever..... the bodyshop rip off is v good imo and cheap and non allergic.
