Hyaluronic acid serum recommendations

Looking for a cheaper alternative to the la Roche posay hydraphase serum which is around £20. Only consideration is I have sensitive skin!

Please let me know your recommendations

The Ordinary every time. I love it.

Beautifullymixed · 08/11/2018 20:11

Hada labo premium hyaluronic serum
It's the bloody dogs bollocks!

Betty777 · 13/11/2018 20:54

another vote for the Ordinary. It's £5 or £6 :-)
Been using for 6 months and I've recently been getting compliments on my skin. i buy several at the same time so I don't have to be stingy about extending use down to my neck/decolletage

JessicaPeach · 13/11/2018 21:08

Hada Labo. Brilliant and a good price too

rhubarbfool · 13/11/2018 21:09

Beautifully - I've just ordered the Hada Labo serum - am I a sucker or is it really that good?! Can I wear it under my hyaluronic moisturizer or is that hyaluronic overkill?

Beautifullymixed · 13/11/2018 22:45

rhubarb - it's definitely that good!

I layer my serums, especially under make up and do not use a moisturiser (as most aggregate my rosacea), and my skin is so hydrated and plump.
I use a facial oil at night for extra moisture, but the hada labo is the last step before my primer in the morning.
It is so smoothing, hydrating, and seems to calm any breakouts or rosacea redness.
Dry, flaky areas are eased, and it doesn't make my skin oily.
It's also not sticky at all, a problem with TO hyaluronic serum, which I didn't like under my make up.
Also, foundation goes on beautifully over it if you don't want to use a primer.

It's bloody good value, and I am never without it. Smile

Beautifullymixed · 13/11/2018 22:47

I would also use it under your hyaluronic moisturiser, don't see why not.

I often use TO marine hyaluronic as well as the hada labo - my skin is left ultra soft.

rhubarbfool · 14/11/2018 07:39

Thank you beautifully; I have very dry skin so I think I need to moisturise too. Can't wait for it to arrive now!

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 14/11/2018 10:17

I like the Nip and Fab one- can't remember the name- orange can.
I am going to try the Hada Labo now though

The Ordinary is gloopy and slimy. I couldn't bear the texture and after reading about the owner I won't buy anything else from them.

Beautifullymixed · 14/11/2018 18:54

Hopefully, you all love the hada labo serum as much as I do!

I agree about the gloopy, thick texture of TO hyaluronic serum, this is one of the reasons I love the hada labo (I also love the regular one too), the texture is so smooth, and glides on like a dream.
Oil or moisturiser layer beautifully as well, and it makes the skin look plump and healthy.

autumnleaves19 · 01/12/2018 21:25

I have the hada labo now and so far so good! Not sure whether to use it day and night ? At the moment I'm using at night only

Day and night!
Especially in this harsh weather.
I usually use three serums, layering them, as this suits my skin better than moisturisers, and leaves it really hydrated.

I often put on two layers, patting it in to the skin, or sometimes use the thinner Hada labo serum first, then the premium on top.
This is when my skin is really dehydrated and flaky, or starting a rosacea flare up.

It is so soothing, and so plumping too.
I wouldn't apply foundation without it.

princesstiasmum · 02/12/2018 13:02

Can i ask how often you all use the Hylauronic acid,i have got the ordinary, thanks

Beautifullymixed · 02/12/2018 13:11

Morning and night, every single day.
Am never without it. 😊

VioletCharlotte · 02/12/2018 13:15

Please can someone post a link to the Ordinary serum? I've looked on Amazon and there seems to about a billion different products and much more expense than £5-£6. Thank you Smile

rainbowgrimm · 02/12/2018 18:37

Has anyone who's tried Hada labo got acne prone skin? How did you rate it? Could anyone do a link - a lot of options are coming up on Amazon. I'm currently using The Ordinary but it's just so darn sticky. Thank you.

Lisbon · 02/12/2018 19:57

Hada labo. Even add a bit to my body lotion

mantlepiece · 02/12/2018 20:02

Google Deciem, you will find TO products there as well as their other more expensive lines. You will also get good descriptions of the products. You can also contact them to get a routine prescribed if you tell them your skin concerns.

Beautifullymixed · 02/12/2018 21:23

rainbow link for Hada labo is the fourth post down.

I have acne prone skin, hormonal jawline acne, and pustular rosacea.
It's a minefield keeping my skin relatively calm.

I swear by TO niacinamide serum, TO granactive retinoid 2%, hyaluronic serum (my beloved Hada labo), and a facial oil.
I also love nip and fab pads, and Cosrx blackhead serum.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 02/12/2018 21:29

I’ve used a whole bottle of Hada Labo Premium Lotion and no breakouts.

Good stuff and a huge amount of it.

Beautifullymixed · 02/12/2018 21:30

This is another alternative to hyaluronic serum (or you can use both as i often do).
It is less thick than the HA, like water, but very hydrating.
I pat it on and into my skin, then layer thicker serums on top.
This is an extra step of moisture for your skin.

Beautifullymixed · 02/12/2018 21:33

Violet
TO hyaluronic acid

Destinysdaughter · 02/12/2018 22:02

I finally got my Hada Labo from Japan last week, I had the original one which I liked and lasted ages but definitely loving the Premium one! I’m using it with a rich Eucerin 5% urea moisturiser and my dry sensitive skin is loving it!

Destinysdaughter · 02/12/2018 22:03

Wondered what other serums or essences people thought were good?
