Long/medium angled bob?

I have long hair but it's damaged and looks tatty. I'm torn between having 2inches off but keeping same longish style (uses word style loosely - it hangs there but feels safe) or do I have a more dramatic change and go for an angled bob (not too short). I've had one before and liked it but I've also had one that was terrible so I'm always terrified of having my hair cut. I realise that's ott but I'm not pretty so need my hair to look good.

I have a similar style, what can go too wrong? It’s still long and nothing drastic. Do it, it’s good to change your hair once in a while. I tong mine when going out but it’s easy to style daily for work in straight style.

I personally think angled bobs are awful. They're very 2000s. Why not just have a nice (same length) bob?

My last angled bob ended up being a straight bob. Looked so dull. Face is already dull! I need length round my face to feel comfortable. Too short and I suddenly have a massive chin.

Mine is subtly angled and looks good, especially when tonged

Careful - you don’t want to end up with what I believe the internet has called the “I want to speak to the manager haircut”

m0therofdragons · 05/11/2018 13:54

@claptomania I know, that's what I'm a bit scared off.

I like the photo. To me that's more of a lob than an angled bob. I'd take that photo and ask the stylist to leave it an inch (or even two) longer, that way it will still have that loose, fashionable look around the shoulders when you tong it or wear it wavy. And you can always get it trimmed a little shorter after you've got used to it.
