Toast clothes ok for work?

I work from home, self-employed. Live in jeans, cords, leggings most of the time, but have a few nice chemise dresses I wear too. I need to do a few days working in house for a client. It’s years since I’ve worked in an office. Would the toast dresses be ok (they’re the slightly sheer ones with a chemise underneath), or do I need to go shopping for more ‘office’ type wear?

I work in a similar way. I don’t do really corporate when I’m in house, partly because I can only really wear trainers. I usually wear black or navy trousers, with a silk top or fine knit crew, and a blazer. I’m not familiar with the dresses you mention but they sound a bit on the casual side.

I agree the dresses sound a bit casual.

What is your job? That has a big bearing on how you should dress!

It’s media, and the client has quite a casual dress code. Not as dress down as jeans, but no suits/formal office wear.

When I say ‘sheer’ I don’t mean see through! I mean sort of light viscose fabric with an attached chemise lining.

I don't know what dresses you mean but I love TOAST stuff. It's pretty classic and should be fine in an office environment.

Yes they’ll be absolutely fine, as you don’t need to wear business attire.
