Quality clothing without the expense.

Why is it so hard to find clothing of better quality than Primark but not the overly expensive prices of Debenhams, Top Shop and the like.

I can't afford the higher prices, as need a new capsule wardrobe.

Any ideas? I've tried New Look, they are too expensive for the lack of quality, not much better than Primark.

Just noticed you want them for the weekend, Uniqlo tend to deliver next day or day after that even if you don't pay extra, but you can opt for next day delivery. Sizing is generous.

I think primary is so expensive for the tat!! £10 for a pair of PJ bottoms ? No thanks!! I bought a jump there was £14 which is cheap but it lasted 2 washes !!! Very expensive for wearing it twice !!

Definitely Uniqlo, or eBay (but your timing will be tricky)

George at Asda is ok for some stuff

Mix and match.

I am wearing Matalan jeans, a Mint Velvet jumper and a cape I bought in a boutique.

Jeans £15

Jumper £45 down from £90

Cape £40 but looks more and I am the only one in this small town wearing it because I went to another small town to buy it.

I buy a lot from charity shops and dress agencies but I already have a lot of clothes and I'm looking for nice little chi chi bits and pieces, not basics. I do a circuit every couple of weeks and half the time I come away empty handed. It's nothing like needing a whole new wardrobe on a low budget and not having much time.

If I were the op I'd be going go round the supermarkets.Plus I'd invest in some Uniqlo Heattech layering pieces to add warmth. And I'd check out the men's section e.g. for knitwear which is often better quality.

Then and only then would I start gradually upgrading with higher quality second hand stuff.
