Colours?

Do you always buy the same colours or buy what's in fashion?

My base colour is navy blue. Around that I wear nudes, dusty pinks, burgundy/purple, other blues and denim, grey, orange and mustard yellow, and occasionally khaki green.

I don't really wear black, white, leopard print, red, bright green or yellow, bright pink, florals or much brown.

Do you have a palette of colours you go for or do you go according to seasons/ fashions etc.?

I have ended up with most of my clothes "going" fairly well together and find myself skipping straight over colours and things I don't wear.

I have a range of colours that I'm drawn to for clothes, mostly because they're the ones I suit the most. I also have a very different palette for my home, using the colours that I adore but that don't suit me to wear. I use a lot of soft golden yellows and mustards in my home, because I just cannot wear them without people asking me if I'm feeling alright.

I wear blues, greens, dark reds, olive and the redder, richer browns (delicate fawn, camel and soft beige do not work for me, I look like I've just been dug up). Black is also bad on me, but I have a few items for when I absolutely have to wear it. It doesn't matter what the season is - I vary the tone depending on season, but not colour. So I might wear a light turquoise t-shirt in summer, but in winter, I'd go for a deeper jade or a lovely soft olive. I wear more red in winter, in the hopes that wearing a warm colour will make me feel warmer (ha, as if).

I try to only wear colours that suit me. If something is in fashion and suits me I buy lots of it because I might not be able to get that colour later. I skip past anything that I know doesn't suit me and doesn't work with the rest of my wardrobe.

I am having a lot of trouble finding reds that aren't orangey.

I only wear colours that suit me too, and avoid fashionable colours that make me look either ill or deceased.

Navy, purple, black and burgundy usually for winter, with the odd pop of colour

I buy colours I like that suit me. I avoid pastels and neon brights at any costs.
I prefer muted heathery shades of pink, blue, green and purple.
Also wear scarlet, black, grey, khaki and navy.

My base colours were always navy and black but this year I've been adding in burgundy and I've been pleased with it.

I stay away from colour trends and go with what I feel suits me, pinks and blues and creams. I always thought green wouldn't look right on me but, after a couple of purchases, I'm starting to change my mind. I'm still not confident enough for really loud colours, though.
