Salicylic face wash and salicylic toner afterwards. That will get rid of the black dot. The tube of oil will remain as there is always something in the hair follicle.

I’ve read that micro needling combined with enzyme peels can be effective. Don’t know anyone who has had it done though. I have massive pores do I have visible sebaceous filaments (I assume this is your issue too) so i am way hint with interest.

Yes - big pores on my nose so the black dot is quite noticeable. Definitely not blackhead but not pretty.

Right - any recommendations on a good salicylic acid products?

You can't get rid of them as they continually reform.

However you can clean them up so the black dissolves with a BHA product. You need a leave on product, not a wash - wash is on your face for seconds only, waste of money.

Paula's Choice 2% BHA is amazing. There are loads in the range, just pick one.

Neutrogena pink grapefruit face wash is quite paint stripper like but if you just use on the bits you have the problem it should be ok.

Mine were terrible, but I use the Paula's choice resist 2% daily BHA exfoliant and they are practically invisible now. I do need to use it daily though, and it's not cheap at about £25 for 100ml, or maybe 110ml. I make a bottle last about 6 weeks.
