Help me with my awful eyes - photo attached

I am trying to get away from wearing too much make up and have stopped wearing foundation apart from evenings out. However, I just can't find a concealer that covers my awfully hollow and dark under eyes.

All the YouTube clips I've watched include foundation as part of the routine to cover them so I'm a bit stuck.

Budget is sky's the limit as I hate my eyes so much and it really gets me down

I've used ysl touché but I've heard really good things about Charlotte Tilburys magic wand (or something like that) too.

I agree - the first thing I noticed was what amazing eyebrows you have!

@BettyCrook I have had low iron levels in the past but don't take a supplement at the moment. Don't know anything re. vitamin c or k though. What is green juice? I don't think I have any allergies, no other signs anyway.

I hadn't heard of tear trough fillers - just googled some of the before/afters look amazing! I think realistically though I would be too scared of something going wrong!

@dontgobaconmyheart haven't tried a benefit concealer, will take a look. "Concealer eyes" made me laugh - the amount of photos of seen of myself and thought I really should have gone a bit easier on the under-eye make up - it's such an awful look, almost as bad as the dark circles!!

Another vote for bobbi brown corrector. Head into your nearest counter and let them do a demo on you.

Beautiful eyes, brows, and skin op.

Budget concealers
Revolution Define and conceal..look at c4 or c5 they are £4 and a copy of Tarte Shape Tape
Maybeline instant conceal with the little sponge £8.99
Nyx HD concealer £6

Higher end
Dior Forever concealer in 20 £21
YSL All Hours
Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer (heaviest)
For brighteners then Dior Flash Luminizer in 001 or YSL Touche Eclat £26 or they are doing gift sets for £26 but you get al free mini gift. If you like the Touche Eclat its always worth stocking up in January Sales and after Mothers day as the sets usually go down to £17.

SilverHairedCat · 25/10/2018 22:13

Another recommendation for NYX products. You might do better with a green tone if you're looking to shade in, but have a chat with the make up counter as they are always pretty knowledgeable and will do a test with you for free.

One more thing is that you have got lovely eyes (incredible eyebrows) and everyone that isn't a child has some sort of darkness/eye bag going on but its just we see each other with our make up on! We look at ourselves more critically and scrutinise things close up in a mirror!

JellieEllie · 25/10/2018 22:20

May sound mental but use Elf poreless primer, cover over the entire of your dark bits with RED (yes red) lipstick, then go over lipstick with a blending sponge with concealer/foundation. Completely takes away the dark circles.

JellieEllie · 25/10/2018 22:26

There are lots and lots and lots of videos on YouTube of the red lipstick trick. It works especially well the darker the circles are!

EnidButton · 25/10/2018 22:32

Your eyes aren't awful AT ALL. Like not even slightly. I'm shocked you think so tbh.

I have deep set eyes and blue in the inner corner/underneath by nose, bit. I stick a bit of concealer on over foundation and don't think anything else of it. They're much 'darker' than yours as I'm very pale.

You have a bit of blue toned darkness but most people do (or they have brown circles. Depending on skin tone.). It's nothing unusual or noteworthy. Often dark bits there are hereditary so the usual hydration/vitamins advice won't do that much although it all helps generally anyway.

Agree with the peachy corrector under a skin tone coloured concealer. I like the Laura Mercier correctors and Bobbi Brown's version too. Then Nars creamy concealer on top. A mini beauty blender is good to blend it out.

But honestly, please don't fret about them for a moment longer. Fine to want to improve and enhance your features but be nicer to yourself. Especially as there's absolutely nothing wrong. Gorgeous eye colour and eyebrows btw.

EnidButton · 25/10/2018 22:34

Hope you're feeling ok in yourself otherwise. Sometimes if we're unhappy or stressed about bigger thing out of our control and we end up focusing in on supposed 'flaws' that no-one else would notice.

These are really good for an instant, temporary (a day) mini plump up. m.feelunique.com/p/Skyn-ICELAND-Hydro-Cool-Firming-Eye-Gels?url=Skyn-ICELAND-Hydro-Cool-Firming-Eye-Gels&slang=EN
