Tinted moisturiser recommendations anyone?

Hi!

Im looking for a decent tinted moisturiser that won’t break the bank! I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and am aware that rather shortly I won’t have time or inclination to be applying make up for a little while however I would still like to look not totally horrendous if possible! Thought a tinted moisturiser might be a good way to go? Any recommendations appreciated either for a good tinted moisturiser or any other products you think might help!

I always, ALWAYS recommend Laura Mercier but it is not cheap. It's been my saviour for years now.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/10/2018 21:58

I picked up the nivea tinted bb cream recently and it's better than I expected.

MsNowtyBach · 20/10/2018 22:13

I've replaced liquid formulations with a good skincare routine and face powder plus highlighter.

I look more healthy and real. Obviously I couldn't pull of a very made up glamorous look, but more of a subtle french approach.

legofriendly · 20/10/2018 22:14

Laura Mercier the more matt one, not the dewier one. It needs a primer though.

Bloodynorthernrock · 20/10/2018 22:34

Bareminerals tinted hydrating gel cream. You're so right that something quick will be a saviour! Worth it though for all those baby cuddles - all the best!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 20/10/2018 23:41

Origins GinZing 40SPF tinted moisturiser is very good and goes a long way. It's not cheap though.

Ditto66 · 20/10/2018 23:45

I use Boots No7 tinted moisturiser every day. Looks fresh and natural, includes spf 15 and is hypo-alergenic.

Shenanagins · 21/10/2018 00:03

For cheapness I recommend Garnier CC cream which I use at the weekend.

During the week for work I wear Charlotte tilsbury lightwear.

I quite liked the Garnier one, but I have gone all ethical in my old age and no longer use it. They seem to have changed the packaging and added many more formulae as well, so I can’t tell you which one I used either. (Sorry - it was the original one, if that helps.) I now use the iT Cosmetics CC Cream because a: Ethics b: the sunscreen is amazing and I live in Australia again c: huge tube with pump dispenser and a little goes a long way and d: it’s soooooooo nice! I get LOTS of comments on this one!!! (*Disclaimer - the colour range is ratshit. This is about to change, but if you are not lucky enough to be near enough to one of their three or four existing shades, get the Garnier and wait until they extend their range. They have listened to their customers about this and it won’t be long, aparrently.)

Favourite moisturiser plus No 7 foundation drops. You can blend 1, 2 or 3 drops into a blob of face cream depending on what level of coverage is wanted. Comes in their range of 25 custom colours, so get the consultant to do a match to your skin tone.

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 21/10/2018 07:52

Origins Ginzing here too, it’s fabulous. V subtle but effective.

I really love the YSL touche eclat tinted moisturiser. I've given up on foundation completely since trying it. My skin is dehydrated with an oily t zone (nice I know) and most things settle in the cracks and drop off my.nose, this lasts hours and gives a natural, flattering glow but not shininess. I just smear in on with my fingers and glance at the mirror afterwards, its super easy. Being YSL it's not cheap but a little goes a long way.

Queenofhearts3 · 21/10/2018 08:39

Thanks for all the recommendations! I’ll have a look into all of them!!

I've tried hundreds in my time, but recently bought the No. 7 drops and they are amazing. I can really recommend trying them. I also use the IT cosmetics one and love that one too. I would say they are the best two I've tried.

Potplant2 · 21/10/2018 08:48

Garner B.B. cream. I wear it over an SPF 15 moisturiser (probably the wrong thing to do but it works for me).

Yonijust · 21/10/2018 08:52

Garnier for me too. It makes me look almost human in less than 60 seconds and less vampire like.

I do wash my face, moisturise then appy the Garnier at least 5-10 mins after. I probably wouldnt put it on my face straight away. Maybe its habit.

MsJaneAusten · 21/10/2018 09:00

Bare minerals. It’s brilliant.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 21/10/2018 12:57

Clarins Hydraquench is lovely - luminous but not shiny. Everyone recommends Laura Mercier but I absolutely hated it. Nars is good but their shades are very yellow (I'm very pale). Chantecaille is really good but ££££.

toherdoor · 21/10/2018 13:03

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturiser. It's the one product I always go back to.

BagelGoesWalking · 21/10/2018 15:09

It's a tinted sunscreen rather than moisturiser but it isn't drying and blurs/covers imperfections rather well, I think.

Tinted moisturiser recommendations anyone?

I've recently bought the Boots Natural Collection tinted moisturiser, I like it, looks natural and suits my dry skin. I do also use a colour correcter for my red nose though!

GVmama · 21/10/2018 17:48

Another vote for the Garnier BB cream, it helps me look human again

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 21/10/2018 17:51

I like Clinique cityblock - it's not sold as a tinted moisturiser, but it does a great job of evening out fair to medium complexions.

NapoleonsNose · 21/10/2018 17:53

No7 City Light is my current tinted moisturiser. I hate the feel of full coverage foundation and this is perfect. Think it's about £13, but lasts for ages.

PumpkinSpiceAmericanoNoSugar · 21/10/2018 18:08

I had been looking for a decent tinted moisturiser for ages, and given up because they either irritated my skin or they were a bad match for my complexion. Then on a whim I tried No7 Foundation Drops. The idea is that you mix it into your own moisturiser or sun screen, one drop for tinted moisturiser, two drops for light foundation and three drops for heavier coverage. I'm very pleased with it, Porcelain matches my skin well and I know that the sun screen won't irritate because I've been using that for ages.
