Hi there, I don’t like the fact I’m using disposable eye make up remover pads every day, has anyone found some could reusable/washable ones?
I was thinking I could try a muslin cloth but not sure where best place to get them from and also not sure suitable for eyes and they are obviously a lot bigger than I need (just for eyes)

I use face flannels and just stick them in the wash daily. Clean with any old cream cleanser (eyes too) and wipe off with warm water.

The cheeky wipes ones are lovely.

I use these. They are fantastic and can be thrown in the washing machine. www.amazon.co.uk/W7-MAGIC-Make-Remover-Cloth/dp/B01LY5OD9J?tag=mumsnetforum-21

I have these www.etsy.com/uk/listing/528824251/organic-cotton-round-reusable-cotton
(And there are loads of others on Etsy) In use them with olive oil to take eye make up off. Nice and soft and just chuck in the washing machine.

Wipes are really abrasive on your skin. I have a stack of flannels in the bathroom.

These came up on my Facebook yesterday and I'm going to order some.

I use a flannel for my cleanser, but like pads for toner.

Cheeky wipes aren’t, esoecially nit the bamboo ones. Don’t know if they still make them I have them 10 years or more.

KeysHairbandNotepad · 20/10/2018 09:07

I've not used them but the cheeky wipes ones have great reviews. I have their reuseable baby wipes kit and also the washable sanitary pads. The quality is very good and delivery is fast.

Doobigetta · 20/10/2018 09:08

I use pads that are fleece on one side and bamboo flannel on the other, and wash and reuse them. They cost about £10 for ten from Amazon, and have lasted three years so far.

They actually do make up remover kits now. They didn’t when I bought mine - mine were just wipes 😀. I use the cotton ones as flannels and the bamboo for eye make up. I have them years and years and they are still in great nick.

I use the Liz Earle Hot Cloth cleanser. It comes with some muslins that I just stick in the washing machine.

0ccamsRazor · 20/10/2018 12:05

We use these, they are really good and last years. The used ones we put into a small 'bin' and wash as normal when we have a full 'bin'.

fizzicles · 20/10/2018 12:17

Use a cream cleanser and a hot flannel. Something like Liz Earle if you're flash, or Simple Cream Cleanser if you're not (like me!). I'm sure there are plenty inbetween too.

TinselKitten · 20/10/2018 15:07

A Konjac sponge is good for this. It goes really soft when wet so doesn’t scratch the delicate skin. By this I mean one of the domed, round sponges, full size or mini. I tried the flat Konjac discs meant for eye make up and found them less effective and quite fiddly to use.
