Not heels.

Lauren0rder · 17/10/2018 22:50

Not heels

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/10/2018 22:52

I'd day they aren't but school might say differently.
What a stupid rule that is anyway, it's a disco, why can't they wear heels?

MoltonSilver · 17/10/2018 22:57

Not heels.

Lasagnefordinner · 17/10/2018 23:01

For a child I would call these heels yeah. Small ones but heels nonetheless.

CountFosco · 18/10/2018 06:50

I'd not wear them because I'd consider those heels. And for an 11 year old they are definitely heels.

BrilloHair children shouldn't wear heels because they are very bad fot adult feet, let alone children's feet that are still growing and the bones still fusing. Sensible shoes in childhood are essential to prevent foot problems later on.

pinkhorse · 18/10/2018 06:55

They are heels for a child yes.

Lauren0rder · 18/10/2018 08:27

Those boots will be fine.

I’m pretty sure school meant not to wear the dress up high heels.

Those boots are flat.

skippy67 · 18/10/2018 08:35

Not heels.

lolarose896 · 18/10/2018 08:39

Those are just boots. Not heels.

Bluntness100 · 18/10/2018 08:44

Why not email the pic to the school. And ask?

Silverstreaks · 18/10/2018 08:46

Not heels. Sturdy dancing boots.

Bluntness100 · 18/10/2018 08:56

They definitely have a small heel on them. They are not flat. So really it depends on what the school is looking for here. Heels is a very loose description.

peridito · 18/10/2018 17:58

Well a lot of footwear has a heel but in my book these don't qualify as
heels .

foxtiger · 18/10/2018 18:59

They're higher heels than I would personally put on a child whose feet were still growing. I'd call them medium heels. I'm not sure whether they will be allowed or not.

BloodyDraculcasonthis · 18/10/2018 19:02

They look no higher than men's boot heels.

Bugjune · 18/10/2018 19:20

They're not heel heels, iykwim.

Potatoandleeek · 18/10/2018 20:08

They’re heels.

The shorter the foot, the steeper the angle of the heel.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/10/2018 21:24

They aren't heels for a child or an adult. I think she will be absolutely fine wearing those.

wtffgs2 · 18/10/2018 21:43

I wouldn't class those as heels. They are broad and pretty low. I'm an ex-teacher and wouldn't have batted an eyelid at those.

To save her being embarrassed, email the school. I would hazard a guess that it's the stripper-shoes they're trying to avoid Grin

Sparklytori · 19/10/2018 06:39

Are the school perhaps thinking of their school hall floor?

Raines100 · 19/10/2018 06:50

Agree school might be trying to avoid stilleto heels marking the gym floor. I'd email the school a photo, but the boots look fine.

Namechanger55555 · 19/10/2018 07:40

No they aren't heels. They problem just don't want children wearing things like this: gclid:CjwKCAjw3qDeBRBkEiwAsqeO7sckjQqdpoSJFQZXn1t1FKFEgCypKNcjUPr1JQDTTmdH77XgVNJ8hoCWLsQAvDBwE
As they don't support the ankle very well.

sollyfromsurrey · 20/10/2018 07:57

Jeez....to everyone worried about growing feet and bone development. It's one night. Sure, wearing heels daily may not be great for young people's feet but occasionally? Ain't going to be doing any harm at all. If a young girl wore these in the weekend or out shopping or to s disco but otherwise wore flats it will be fine. Anyway these boots have a marginal heel. They will be fine. No idea what he school will say though.

MaruMaru · 21/10/2018 08:18

They are not flat.
If you have to ask, you know there is some doubt as to whether they are appropriate.
