Skincare advice after poor health

I've had an awful year health wise and though thankfully I am coming out of the other side of it now, I feel like my skin needs some definite TLC. It is improving a bit as my nutrition has improved but I want to use this as an opportunity to have a treat and get a new routine in place.

Am early 30's with probably combination skin. Some areas prone to dryness but with a more congested t zone and I am conscious of enlarged pores.

Am currently using a REN cleanser but am not overly enamoured with it. Use clarins moisturiser which I do quite like the texture of, and have an ESPA exfoliator which I also quite like.

What products am I missing out on? Feel like I would like a good 'boost' product as well as a great daily routine if that makes sense? Would a serum help me?

Also would love recommendations on an eye cream as don't use one at all at the moment!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I am now a convert to Liz Earle, the 3 step routine, the hot polish cleanser feels like a treat every time I use it, I am slightly older than you and feel my skin is the best it has been, it looks fresh and polished if that makes sense.

I have tried loads of products over the years and can highly recommend Liz Earle.

Meant to say I have combination skin and the face creams are available for all skin types, I use the light one, Liz does do eye cream but I am still using my no7 protect and perfect so can't advise until I run out.

Have you thought about a light peel? I always get one after periods of ill health (which are numerous and require surgery) and it’s like starting afresh with new skin.

I had a bad t-zone and rosacea until recently. I used some suncream on my face on holiday that made me break out badly. I got a free sample of fresh farmacy soap from lush, and it's genuinely changed my life. I'm 38 and my skin hasn't been this good since my early 20s. It just dissolves the oil in my pores without over drying and it's given me a really good base to try other skin improving treatments. I'm a big fan of no7.
