Major hair fluff - HELP (with photo)

I straightened my hair this morning with my Corioliss straighteners, then added some Body Shop coconut wax through, it was sleek and shiny. This is now my hair after 5 hours. It hasn't been raining. It does this every single day. Help!

Are there any products out there that will keep my hair flat and straight all day?

Actually that look is preferable to the flat look.

There are other products you can use that would work better than Body Shop coconut oil wax - I do like that product but I use it on my ends when they've gone a bit fufty, not all over.

Do you use a leave in conditioner? I have really puffy hair and kind of layer the products - so I co-wash (ie don't use shampoo, just conditioner) then condition, then a leave in conditioner. Then when I've towelled dry I use a spray in serum (easier to distribute than a pump one). At the moment I'm using a Matrix one but they all seem to do the job ok.

On 'normal' hair that would be too much gloop but on my puff ball it works! I also have wavy hair and have found that with all of the above, I can leave it to dry naturally and it turns in to really nice waves rather than frizz. I do still straighten my hair sometimes but it's nice to not have to.

Thank you @Badtasteflump that sounds like something that would work for me. Which conditioners do you use? I'll get some of the serum you mention too. So you use one conditioner just to wash and rinse off then one to leave in. No shampoo at all?

No shampoo at all - it's called co-washing. So really, you're using a conditioner to 'wash' the hair through, then leaving in another conditioner. I vary between using cheap and cheerful conditioners - at the moment Alberto Balsam Argan oil & Jasmine (just because it smells lovely!) and slightly more expensive ones - the Body Shop rainforest moisture one is good and is still only about £5. There are loads of good leave in conditioners, my current one is a Charles Worthington one, just because it was on offer in Boots!

If you are interested, google the curly girl method. It is where I got the whole idea of co-washing from and it has loads of tips which have transformed my frizz Smile

That's great thanks @Badtasteflump I'll have a trip to Boots tomorrow and get some stuff.
