I love this moisturiser but I'm trying to reduce my plastic use. Does anyone know of anything similar in a glass jar / from lush / other similar alternative? Thanks!

Anyone?! I have dry skin and love the silky texture of the Clinique cream

Boots No7 has a similar product but it is glass, plastic lid, cardboard box.

I really like Celestial cream by Lush. You could look at Neals Yard for options in glass jars. It's very difficult to reduce plastic use, I agree.

Branleuse · 05/10/2018 09:31

oh yes, neals yard rose oil is gorgeous too

Thank you. I've just been to the shops and tried lush imperials which was nice. They gave me a sample to try so will see how I get on. I love the look of lots of these too so thanks for the ideas :)

I've just bought a new jar of Clinique Repair and Lift moisturiser £57 Confused
I can not use Clinique as I have sensitive skin but no way is it worth it.

Maverick66 · 06/10/2018 00:10

Can only use Clinique

SpeckleDust · 06/10/2018 00:14

I used to use Clinique DD moisturiser but had the odd eczema-like flare up even with that.

Switched to E45 (still in plastic pots, but large ones) and have been very happy with both cheapness and results.

DontFundHate · 06/10/2018 09:03

Imperialis isn't hitting the spot :/

They gave me a sample of shangra la too but it's even more expensive than Clinique so I don't want to like it!

I dont like any lush moisturisers much. I find they sit on the skin in a film.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 08/10/2018 08:25

Agree with Bran.

Clinique is actually quite harsh if you look at its ingredients. I have sensitive prone-to-rosacea skin and can't use Clinique skincare. Everyone's skin is different but both Clinique and Simple irritate me (in all senses) with their clever marketing. For those old enough to remember, Clinique used to be marketed to people with problem (oily/spotty) skin, hence the doctory white coats they used to wear (don't know if they still do) I like the foundations though.

Cerave is the moisturiser oft lauded by the skincare gurus on here. Have never used it as can use most things, but do bear in mind that your moisturiser is the last important bit of your routine. The cleansing/toning and serum-ing are what makes the difference. I have been experimenting (I love L'Occitane Divine, at £80 a pot Confused) and have been using bog standard Astral since September (always used this on my neck) and guess what? No difference.

Shangri-La is wonderful OP- I used to treat my Mum to a pot every Christmas.

DontFundHate · 08/10/2018 13:39

I'm finding Shangri la just doesn't sink in for hours, it just doesn't give me that 'relief' that I usually get from my Clinique one

Hmmmm so I need to try more! Can you get samples of Neal's yard? Otherwise I may try some loccitaine as they are in glass jars as at least I can try them in store (and i think you can return opened stuff if it doesn't suit?) Any other ideas where I can try them first? Thanks!
