I'm already a huge fan of french skincare, but french women's hair is also amazing. What do they use and where can I buy it on my next french trip please?

Klorane shampoos and conditioners are good .,. Also phyto

ThefusilliJerry · 02/10/2018 20:29

You can get them in pharmacies

I was once interested in Klorane, but the products include sulfates. I usually avoid that in skincare and haircare because sulfates are stripping and leaves me feeling dry. If your hair isn’t dry/wavy, then it may not be a problem.

Watching with interest Smile I’m always up for good, reasonably priced beauty products. I’ve been using ‘the ordinary’ for about two months and have had great results. Next up is nuxe body oil for me.

faeriequeen · 03/10/2018 08:09

I love nuxe body oil!

I can’t wait to try it, I saw it recommended on here Smile

@faeriequeen
What French skincare do you use?

user1499173618 · 03/10/2018 08:19

Ask for advice in a French pharmacy.

AhoyDelBoy · 03/10/2018 08:25

Grin I wish I could do that Grin
Problem is the 24 hour flight oh and the $1500.

faeriequeen · 03/10/2018 08:27

Le roche posay and nuxe are great, plus lots of soaps in blocks.

Try Bioderma. A truly fantastic brand for face and body skin.

lekkerkroketje · 03/10/2018 08:39

There's a Petit Marseillais argan oil shampoo without SLS which is nice, and I particularly like Ma Provence solid shampoo for dry hair, which is sulphate free and smells lovely without being drying.

I suspect the nice hair is that people don't do much to it. You accept the hair you have and cut and style accordingly. Grey is more common too, so less harsh dye. I'm in the south, and people also seem to be genetically blessed with thick dark hair rather than thin blond northern hair.

faeriequeen · 03/10/2018 09:14

Sadly I have the thin blonde hair :(

I'm in the waterproof rather than sunkissed category too. Bring on winter where I don't look so daft! People ask if I'm vegetarian because I look so anaemic compared to the locals

faeriequeen · 03/10/2018 11:40

I'm looking to replace shower gel with soaps. Are there any you'd recommend please?
