Anyone use Clarins blue orchid treatment oil?

My skin is feeling very dehydrated these days especially at the sides of my nose and on my cheeks. I’m using Avene moisturiser and was using a No.7 serum under it but my face felt much drier and tighter with the serum so I’ve stopped using that now. I was wondering whether to try the Clarins Blue Orchid oil. It’s got good reviews but I can’t figure out whether it’s used as a serum or if it could be? I’m happy with the Avene but it still doesn’t feel like it’s dealing properly with the dryness. If you use or have tried the blue orchid, what did you think to it? Thanks.

Yes and I love it. I have really dry and dehydrated skin - it’s instantly tight and flaky as soon as I step out of the shower.

I put a couple of drops in my palms and warm it up and pat it onto my skin. Leave it to soak in then add Vit C serum and moisturiser over the top.

Thanks case. Sounds to be what I need. The Boots serum is adding to the feeling of tightness and flakiness I think. Will go check out the Blue Orchid because if it’s this dry in October I’ll be a pile of crumbs by Christmas.

Try a hyaluronic acid serum under your moisturiser.

The oil is lovely, I would use it on top of the serum though.

The one I use is Hadalabo JAPAN Skin Institute Gokujun premium hyaluronic solution 170mL, £12 from Amazon, lasts months and months, it's a huge bottle.

Thanks for the tip chardonnay. Is the serum ok for sensitive skin do you think? I’ll go have a look on Amazon.

I think so, I've been using it for months with no problems, I used to use Moisture surge, but this seems better and cheaper.

lots of reviews on Amazon and Makeup Alley, so you can look it up.

I use a few drops, press on face with my palms and then repeat when I feel my skin's gone very dry.

Thanks chardonnay will also look it up on makeupalley. I didn’t think to do that.

I have a bottle of it at the moment but won't buy it again when it's finished. I prefer the Liz Earle face oil stuff (sorry, can't remember what it's called).

Rosehip oil is cheaper and less likely to irritate. The Clarins oil gets very poor reviews on Beautypedia- says it's full of irritating chemicals.

Trilogy organic rosehip oil.

Avene hydrance serum always recommended for sensitive skin. I use it with the clarins oil.
