Just that really. Always on the lookout for bargain beauty buys and essentials. Don't mind paying if it's reallllllly good.

Thank you

Anyone? 😊

I don't think there are any because for all the ones I love there are alternatives :)

But if you insist...I've swapped from pricey Clinique £45 a pot moisturisers to Olay 3 point Regenerist Amazon £15 and love it.

Clinique City Block spf 45

Mrs9C · 01/10/2018 09:05

None! I don't think anything I've tried is indispensable.

LakeFlyPie · 01/10/2018 09:10

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip balm (stick version).

MrsMoggy · 01/10/2018 09:14

Bargain wise I like the Seventeen Phwoar Paint under eye concealer, and Boots Natural Collection pressed powder. Also Nivea make up wipes and Rimmel foundation.

On pricier side I’m addicted to Benefit bad gal bang mascara and Rituals Sakura shower gel. Also the Charles worthington weightless shampoo and conditioner is great

TeddyIsaHe · 01/10/2018 09:15

Bobbi Brown smokey eye mascara. I always try and go cheaper but nothing compares. Not clumpy, makes my lashes all fluttery and amazing.

This 42p eyeliner (with free delivery!) it’s wonderful! Lasts all day and has a kohl pencil in the lid. The tip is perfect for wings, and I just can’t get over how good it is for how much it costs!

Thanks guys

I'm using soap and glory concealer at the moment, which I love (also love their lipglosses, though the longevity isn't great)

I can't be without a tube of Nivea soft moisturiser, if I run out of primer (wilkos Kiss Prime of your life for £3 is quite good btw) then I find Nivea Soft is a great base for make up. I usually pick up a tube for £1 in home bargains.

MakeYourOwnFuckingTea · 01/10/2018 10:49

Defo agree about Nivea Soft. It's brilliant. I buy the big tubs and decant so I always have some with me. It can be used as a hand and nail treatment, hardskin softener on feet (slather some on last thing before bed and put some socks on) mask, cleanser, base, moisturiser and was superb this summer as an aftersun. I kept a tub in the fridge specially. Also used it on all my 3 kids as a gentle alternative to lotion after bathing. My mum has used it to tone down tanning lotion and it was none streaky.
I don't think I have ever paid more than £3 for a big tub.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 01/10/2018 10:51

Nivea tinted moisturiser is great for my face when I don't want a full face of makeup but want my skin to look like a slightly better version of itself. Can usually pick it up in the supermarket for £4.

feathermucker · 01/10/2018 10:52

I also use kiss primer. One of the best I've tried

Might try Nivea soft

Budget Buys:
Aldi CC cream. The coverage is incredible and I've been tempted away from my Estee Lauder DW for the first time in 20 years.

Also the Aldi hot cloth cleanser - brilliant.

Frezyderm suncream (more like a silky gel). Does away with the need for a primer. Also comes in a tinted version with really good coverage (a CC cream so colour works with most people) if you want to skip the foundation step too.

'Magic' makeup remover cloths. I believe you can get them in Primark. I got mine elsewhere but my skin is squeaky clean using this and the few blackheads I had on my nose have disappeared. I can only put it down to the cloth (which is very soft and fluffy, a bit like a fleece).

The little Bourjois round blush pots - cheap so you can have a range of colours to suit.

Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner. Comes with a great brush too. Perfect for me for tightlining and stays put all day.

CutesyUserName · 01/10/2018 11:55

Oh, meant to add the Aldi Q10 serum. Excellent stuff.

MinesaPinot · 01/10/2018 13:35

Garnier Ultralift Day and Night Creams (changed from L'Oreal Revitalift to these).
Superdrug Day and Night Simply Pure Serums

Nivea Soft Cream - for all over. Brilliant stuff

On pricier side, Clinique City Block Spf 40, Clinique Take the Day off eye make up remover and cleansing balm

gummywitch · 04/10/2018 09:23

L'Oreal elvive dream lengths no haircut cream. Put some on hair every day just for the smell. So lush. Wish they'd bring out a hair perfume using the fragrance. It's sweet and sugary like fruit salad n coconuts n lemon sherbet all rolled into one. Might have to stock pile as someone told me it's being discontinued.
