What's the best way to treat an eyebrow wax graze?

Had my eyebrows waxed yesterday, and have a sore graze above one eye. I don't think the beautician was at fault (I've been going to her for years) and the wax wasn't hotter than normal. I think it is just my sensitive skin.

I have put savlon on the area, but that doesn't seem to have done anything. What else can I try?

Just wait. Faces heal fast, it will be fine in no time.

I’d just leave it- in a day or so it’ll go dry and then flake off.

AnneOfCleavage · 22/09/2018 10:46

I agree. Just wait and keep going with the savlon if you want but it'll dry out and flake away in a couple of days.

Had this happen a few times now (do my own but have sensitive skin too).

Don't worry at all.

Ideally I'd like it to heal VERY quickly as I start university on Monday. Don't want to be forever remembered as the the student with the red, flaking eyebrow Blush

Mine are usually gone within 48 hours

I’m a seasoned eyebrow wax victim

Sudocrem

mommybear1 · 22/09/2018 11:18

I agree savlon / sudacrem and Vaseline will help apply as often as possible Eau de Thermal Avene do a lovely cream called Skin Recovery you could try that to help the redness and flaky bits when it's healed.

Eucerin Aquaphor healing ointment from Boots or a similar product (Vaseline or Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream etc)

hannnnnnnxo · 22/09/2018 11:27

I doubt it will disappear by Monday, but hopefully healed enough that you can safely cover it with a bit of concealer

To avoid a repetition, could you get your brows threaded in future? It happened once and I've never had another facial wax.

sonjadog · 22/09/2018 17:17

Put some germolene on it.

SeaGlassHunter · 22/09/2018 19:51

I've been having my eyebrows waxed for a long time - probably almost 20 years. I have only had this happen once before. Nothing to suggest it will happen again next time. If it does, I'll think about alternatives.

It didn't happen to me ever for years and years, but once it did, it then became a regular thing. I think the skin became more sensitive.

It can just happen sometimes.
Lots of things can make you more sensitive- anti ageing skincare, acne skincare, being out in the sun etc.
Best thing is sudocrem at night applies thickly then some light lotion in the day.
