Finding a bra that fits

MonkeysMummy17 · 20/09/2018 14:41

I've tried looking at other threads and I can't get my head around which bra sizes to try!

I'm at a party this weekend and would like a nice bra, I'm breastfeeding but it doesn't need to be suitable for that.

I've measured underbust as 34" and overbust as 44" so does that make me a 34GG? Or 36J? I can't figure it out and running out of time to go out and find some 😬 I thought I had bookmarked a page that made it seem obvious but I can't find it!

Please help!

34GG. Sister size is 36G.

Thank you!

I know you don't have time to do this before the weekend but I would really recommend getting fitted at M&S. The assistant will bring you bras and tell you exactly what fits you and then show you all the colours of the ones that fit you.

I wouldn't get fitted at m&s unless they use the proper method of measuring without adding extra inches to the back size

Did you do the method where you bend over to take the full bust measurement - with boobs hanging down? Grin I came across that on here and it's just the best...

I would avoid M&S. If you can get to a branch of Bravissimo, it's really good.

Otherwise, I'd recommend ordering a load from Figleaves or Bravissimo (if you can get next day delivery) to try.

Read up on there about the properties of various styles - eg side support will give you a nice forward shape; balconette tends to have slightly wider spaced straps if that will suit your neckline; moulded cups will generally have to be pretty spot-on for your cup size, whilst stretch lace cups will mould to your shape a bit more.

Different brands tend to fit a little differently so if you order a range you should find which works best for you.

Don’t worry about being measured in M&S they don’t measure in the add on method any more and haven’t done so in almost two years. They only measure the band and the rest is done by just looking same as bravissimo. Do

Last time I got measured in M&S they told me I was a 34E.

I'm actually a 30G.

Definitely go to Bravissimo for a proper fitting if you can!
