Dr Sam Bunting or .....?

Really fed up with how crap my skin is, red, spotty, thread veins, greasy and dry at same time.
I suffered from acne in my youth and had to do 3 courses of roaccutane to clear it. I’ve also had laser treatment for red veins.
I follow advice of gentle cleanser (cetaphil) wth salicylic acid am and glygolic acid pm plus a hyralonic acid and a la Roche posay moisturiser but my skin looks horrid.
I’m thinking of investing in an appointment with facialist such as Dr Sam. Any recommendations?

She's a dermatologist. Expensive, but good. I've been seeing her for a while and, like many dermos I imagine, you'll be asked to fill out an information sheet which will look at things like diet and lifestyle.

I guess it's also about what sort of style/approach you like. She's extremely well-groomed and put together as you would expect, but also warm, friendly and informal.

I see Dr Sam too after years of being unhappy with my skin. Best thing I ever did.

I've seen Dr Sam in the past and now see Dr Emma Wedgeworth, her colleague - it's just worked out that way because she can be easier to get an appointment with and is slightly cheaper. I had acne and now just go for maintenance of my skin. It sounds like you would definitely benefit - I absolutely love never needing to research or spend money on skincare, other than what the Dr recommends (cetaphil, vit c serum, prescriptions and SPF). Also I've just had a baby and it's so nice knowing that even when I feel rough my skin looks good Blush. Can't say the same about my eye bags sadly

I've seen Dr Terry and recommend her especially for anyone who has hormonal acne.

Thanks for all the replies. I’ve spent a good couple of hours watching her YouTube videos today and have made a list of tweaks I think I need to change. I’m wondering though whether to bite the bullet and just make an appointment instead?
Would anyone mind sharing costs? I think a consultantation is £395? But I imagine products on top rack things up a bit?

Join the Dr Sam Skincare Fb group and the Caroline Hiron's fb Group. Amazing amount of knowledge and advice freely given - esp on the CH group. Really worth giving that a go before spending £300 on a 20min appt plus many more £££ on things she will recommend you buy (incl things like tretinoin which you can source for much less elsewhere).

Hmm that is interesting to hear your experience. I’m currently waiting to see a dermatologist but in the meantime I follow both Dr Sam and Dr Dray on YouTube. Personal preference is Dr Dray, unsure why, maybe she seems more open ?
Interesting though & eye watering prices, for me anyway :-)

There are plenty of other very good dermatologists around who charge £250 for half and hou. Not cheap I know but better than £395 for twenty minutes which you have to pay in advance. No wonder she is well groomed.
