Silver t-bar shoes from Clark's

I saw someone wearing these today and I LOVE them. Does anyone have them? What do you - or would you - wear them with? Are they actually a bit dorky?

I work from home, turning 40, reasonably stylish, minimal (Whistles, And Other Stories, Topshop).

Had a similar version a couple of years ago.
Unusually for Clarks they were not comfortable.
Looked good with skinny jeans/trousers
Bit hit and miss with dresses.
