What do you think? So far I am very impressed. I wear very little make-up day to day but I am mid forties now and feel like I need a little coverage but hate too much fuss.
I'm using one drop in my usual moisturizer and I like the results.
I like slightly heavier make up for nights out but so far haven't had an excuse to try adding more drops.
I'm going on holiday soon and wondering if the drops can be added to a facial sunscreen.

No idea but I like the sound of it. I have recently started using BB cream by Rimmel and have been impressed by it.

Yep. Bought them this week and have been mixing with my sunscreen. I have really oily skin and am delighted to have one less layer to apply. Gives a nice finish (although I suppose this is more likely to be related to the finish of my sunscreen than the drops themselves).

What sunscreen do you use Nickety?

Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish. A ridiculous name!!Saw it recommended on here and bought from Amazon for about a tenner.
I have tried many (including various Biore ones) and this is my favourite so far.

I haven't tried the Drops but I use the Lancer sunscreen on my face and sometimes mix in a liquid bronzer... it's a fab texture

I have a sample of this, I find it a bit shiny. I like dewy make up but not shiny. Though I really like the idea of this. The sales assistant said they have to be matched your skin tone but I thought it they are used as a tinted moisturiser and being mixed with moisturiser or sunscreen you can get away with a shade darker, what do you think?

YeTalkShiteHen · 09/09/2018 17:09

Yes! I’m awful with foundation, and I cannot for the life of me cope with contouring and all that so they’re a godsend for me.

Pinkkahori · 09/09/2018 18:42

I went for a darker shade. I was previously matched as Cool Vanilla which I think is a little too pale for me so I went for Warm Ivory in the drops and it is a good match.

What are you mixing it with citygitl? I am using a Simple moisturiser and I don't find it shiny at all.

Pinkkahori, when I had the foundation drops put on me by the adviser she mixed them with No7 essential moisturiser which I use plus one of their sunscreens as I mentioned about there being no sunscreen in the foundation drops or the moisturiser. I told her I like a light cover but she put two and a half drops in, used a brush and my face looked shiny and the make up looked thick.

However, when I tried the sample drops myself I used one drop with my Soltan sun cream and it looked lighter in texture but still shiny.

My foundation shade is cool ivory but I was advised to stick to that shade. The next shade down for me is cool beige, maybe I ought to give that one a go.

Another thought, maybe normal foundation can be mixed with moisturiser to make a tinted moisturiser when needed. Any thoughts on this?

Nicketynac · 09/09/2018 19:31

I have tried this in the past and they didn’t mix well (but this was yeas a go so formulations are probably much better now). One drop of the No 7 stuff is enough for me but I don’t like heavy coverage. I wonder if normal foundation isn’t pigmented enough to do it?

Nicketynac · 09/09/2018 19:32

I meant I have tried mixing foundation and moisturiser

Pinkkahori · 09/09/2018 20:01

It probably depends on skin type. Mine is quite dry and seems to soak up whatever I use.
I think it is better than a tinted moisturizer. I tried loads and never found one that didn't look patchy.

foundation and moisturiser can mix really well but only if they are both either oil based or water based I remember reading somewhere. they have to be the same base or they will kind of separate I think it said. I have done it in the past but don't recall what makes.

dameofdilemma · 10/09/2018 10:58

I mix my (No 7) foundation with my (Clinique) moisturiser regularly when I want a lighter coverage. Works fine.

Like the idea of the drops though as would be less messy. Is the colour range good?
