How to stop lipstick from bleeding?

I'm partial to a good matte gloss but during the course of the day it bleeds a bit and if I forget to look at the mirror then heaven forfend what I might look like at the end of the day. I bought matte specifically for this reason so it would stay on - it does but is there something I could use to maintain the boundaries, so to speak?

Clear lip liner is your friend: d'finer d'liner springs to mind but a browse round the Boots cosmetics stands will reveal others. And I've recently started using a lip primer to keep everything in place although I have no idea if it's really worked or not.

Lip liner

It's literally what it was invented for.

I asked because lip-liner hadn't helped. I thought there might be some other magic potion Grin That said I'd not tried clear lip-liner.

Try a primer too.

I find some lipsticks do just bleed though. Less so if you wear foundation as that seems to sort of fill in where it would bleed to and act as a second barrier.

Also never over draw lips, that's just asking for trouble (I've never seen it look good. It even bleeds on teenagers with perfect skin)

Max Factor Lipfinity doesn't budge until you remove it. I don't think it could bleed.

The body shop does a transparent lip liner that you can put on all over your lips and it stops lippy bleeding. I love it.

Yes MaxFactor lipfinity,or L,oreal,or Maybelline 24 hour lipstick,it never bleeds or comes off,its like concrete,if you put too much on though
