Hello ladies. I’m torn between the Bayswater in oak, black or blush. Have seen them all on ebay and can’t choose. Which will weather best? I usually wear neutral colours with occasional blue or red or pink. I usually wear black shoes/boots. I also love the Lily bag. Can you please help me decide? Thanks.

I'd go for oak. I don't like black bags and blush is not as versatile as it seems.

Cantthinkofnameargh · 05/09/2018 09:28

If I had a choice, blush would be a love to have but not versatile for all colour clothes. I would choose between Black and Oak.

I think from what you have described from the neutral colours you wear, Oak would be best. Also, I'd be worried about the Blush getting dirty and showing marks.

Also depends what you will use it for? If it's work, I think Black one would be a good colour. However, for the more casual everyday look/ all round look Oak would be good.

I love the blush, but I think oak is the most versatile of the colours.

I personally love the Lily, but the Bayswater is such a classic, you'll never grow tired of it!

I love both the Lily and the Bayswater. It’s so blooming difficult to decide. Keep your opinions coming please.

I'd get blush - it's gorgeous. I'm not that keen on the oak or black tbh. I have a bayswater in soft grey and I love it. Just get the all weather protection spray and the leather cream and it'll be fine.

Blush. It's beautiful and more modern.

FluffyPinkCloud · 05/09/2018 16:59

Do you think the blush would do all seasons? A friend of mine says she thinks it’s just a summer bag.

Yeah I think you'd get away with it. Pair with grey or white coat in winter and with pinks in summer or whatever - can you post a pic of the shade? There's a blush pink which is quite baby pink and then a more neutral blush - that's the one I'm thinking of. I agree that it's more modern than the other colours.

I think oak is the most versatile. Black makes me think of a doctor’s / lawyer’s work bag (if you are a doctor or lawyer then go for the black Wink) and the blush is lovely but I think it will date quite quickly.

FluffyPinkCloud · 05/09/2018 20:23

I don’t want a bag that will date quickly. I want to classic that will see me through a good number of years.

Oak Bayswater is a classic.

sakuramiyagi · 05/09/2018 21:23

I have an oak Alexa which is lovely in summer but it gets water stained in the rain. I also have a black Alexa which is my winter/bad weather bag. Both colours are definitely very versatile.

While the blush is lovely, it can get stained very easily. I've seen a couple that have denim staining.

Definitely go for a black Bayswater is you want an all seasons bag.

Ox blood anyone?

is it "rosewater" or "dark blush"? Rosewater seems very versatile (nearly bought a bayswater when i visited a store recently).

is it grained leather? i have a bayswater in smooth calf and it has stain potential due to the texture. i dont think i'd buy another again.

i agree that you might get colour transfer from denim but its soooo pretty and i've seen several ladies recently with the rosewater

depends on your style but black is too formal for me.

heattreated · 05/09/2018 21:50

oxblood is on list of potentials too actually as i think its a good in between for smart/casual wardrobes like mine.

i wear lots of white pretty brodrie anglais and chambray in summer and navy knits /grey coats in winter so was thinking it'd be perfect.

i also think it'd be beautiful with camel colour coats.

SmilingButClueless · 05/09/2018 21:59

Oxblood is a classic and I think it suits the Bayswater

Viviene · 06/09/2018 07:46

Well then, I vote for oxblood.
