Cross body bag needed & tips for reducing weight

mikeTV · 31/08/2018 00:44

I have ongoing back issues and my physio told me to start using a cross body bag instead of my usual rucksack style.

My first question is - any recommendations? Would prefer not black

I'm aware that I need to cut back on what I keep in my bag to reduce the weight, but I'm no good at travelling light on a day to day basis.

I usually carry the following - how can I cut back??

  • small a5 notebook
  • kindle
  • pens & charger
  • phone
  • purse/card wallet
  • water bottle
  • reusable coffee cup
  • pouch containing painkillers, plasters, make up etc

Thanks!

Another one who would question the a shoulder bag advise over a rucksack. Wearing both straps of a rucksack is much more comfortable and instantly feels lighter when you spread the load. Eastpak are great.

When I was having shoulder problems I had to give up shoulder bags and even cross body in favour of grab bags and totes that I just hand held
It’s anazing what you can get used to you when you have no other options
Just try and lightweight everything

Agree with JaceLancs a top handle handbag best for me if I’m carrying a lot for work. For weekends etc I purposely buy small cross body bags so I can’t carry too much.

I’m a big fan of the healthy back bags. They feel very similar to rucksacks but only have one strap and so are technically cross body bags. Nylon material is similar to Kipling. Their customer support is top quality. Choose the smallest size that suits your needs. I have a massive one though!
