Stylish bunion protecting shoes

Do they exist? I’ve been told by the doctor I have to wear shoes which are wide and more comfortable to help my bunion. I live in biker boots and ballet flats so other than buying crocs (please help me I don’t want to) I’m not sure what I can buy which is stylish and will help.

Any help very very much appreciated.

I believe that ballet flats are one of the worse style of shoes to wear if you have bunions. DD's podiatrist hates ballet flats.

Fitflop shoes?
Clarks Unstructured?]]. BTS18 gives 20% off Clarks.
Or what about brogue styles such as Clarks Hamble Oaks or these from M&S which I have my eye on.

I've got a really big bunion on one foot - I live in Stan Smiths and Clarks (wide fitting) boots and I recently bought some FitFlop loafers that are absolute heaven. None of these are super-stylish, but they look okay (I think)! I'll wear pretty shoes when I'm out, but keep Butterfly Twists in my bag for when the pain starts.

Really struggling to find shoes (other than wide fitting boots) I can wear because of bunions, so watching with interest. OyWithThePoodles - what are Butterfly Twists?

I can’t recommend a particular make but have a bunion on one foot and find that a shoe that reaches above this area is good. Avoid any style that sits on the bunion which i find are ballerina style shoes.

I have bunions on both feet and live in various colours of converse boots and Dr martens.

Also watching with interest, as I have a bunion on one foot and need wider shoes anyway (can't fit comfortably into Converse, for example) and can't wear anything that doesn't cover the top of the foot (so ballet flat definitely out). I've been considering trying wide fit boys shoes as I would rather wear mannish/brogue style than the likes of Hotter or other wide fit ladies shoes that look like something my gran used to wear. Women's brogues are generally too narrow for me, except for DMs which are now over £100 Shock. I just need to pluck up the courage to go into a kids shoe shop and try some on!
