I’m spendy on cleanser, SPF, retinol and serum, so reckon I can economise on moisturiser.

Suggest me a good cheap one for combination skin please!

OMG would you believe it Aldi have just brought out some new skincare products and they are as good as the Liz Earle stuff I was using before. I have their hot cloth cleanser which cost around £4, which I cannot tell a difference with at all. I also bout this Q10 serum for £3!!! Worth a try, what have you got to lose at that price?

They also have a full moisturising set for £5.89, which has the serum, plus two moisturisers in. They are equivalent to the Nivea ones, which are that price for one item. www.aldi.co.uk/lacura-q10-renew-skincare-set/p/000000216987000

How budget? Everyone on all the beauty/skincare Facebook groups I'm in is raving about the new poundland range no6 or #6 (their version of boots no 7). There's 5 or 6 products available. I haven't tried it so I can't personally reccommend it but for £5/6 for the whole range it might be worth a try.

anothernextsale · 22/08/2018 09:40

I use Nivea q10, often on special at most supermarkets or boots / Superdrug

JeanieLouToo · 22/08/2018 09:43

@Stoat they do deliver! And I think standard delivery is free. If there is a minimum spend, add a few other luxury goods and some of their amazing gin and prosecco into your basket Grin

LARLARLAND · 22/08/2018 09:44

Aldi skincare is brilliant.

Branleuse · 22/08/2018 09:46

Nivea soft

MarthasGinYard · 22/08/2018 09:47

I'm usually a splurger on creams

But after Aldi skin caviar that may change have given it a whirl and love it

Cakefairy1978 · 22/08/2018 09:54

I've started using nice a creme ( blue tub) at night. It's lovely. Very thick so only at night and you don't need a lot. It'll be great when central heating comes on.

Bee182814 · 22/08/2018 09:57

Hi,. Superdrug do a few ranges which I think are really good, I'm using their vitamin C one at the moment, the moisturiser is halfway between a cream and a gel. There's also the vitamin E range and one which I think is called natural radiance.

StoatOfManyColours · 22/08/2018 10:23

Aldi deliver?????!!!!!!! Shock This is a game changer!

Can't do Nivea, I'm afraid, my skin hates it.

The simple one is lovely, they do a light or an intense I think, I use the light for everyday and the intense if I'm feeling dry or if I've been in the sun a lot.

EthelThePiratesDaughter · 22/08/2018 10:28

This one.

Neutrogena hydro Boost gel cream. Love it!

jalopy · 22/08/2018 10:33

AVEENO - fab stuff. I use the green top one on my face.

EthelThePiratesDaughter · 22/08/2018 10:33

Or these Garnier ones.

Ooh, these suggestions are good! Hadn't thought of Simple or Neutrogena. Will investigate all of them.

Superdrug radiance range is great. Their moisturiser is lovely and smooth and I think it’s under £5.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 22/08/2018 10:39

I use aveeno too, my skin seems to react to anything else.

The ordinary has tonnes of cheap skincare with decent ingredients.

I did read you should spend the most on what sits on your face the longest. So cheap cleanser as that's only on your skin for a few seconds, then leading up to a more expensive serum, moisuriser etc.

StoatOfManyColours · 22/08/2018 10:57

I struggle with cheap cleanser, Ginger, anything foaming gives me a reaction, so I tend to go for Clinique TDDO balm, or cleansing oil.

The Aldi stuff is excellent. I particularly like the Caviar range for day and night. Really good stuff and smells heavenly.

StoatOfManyColours · 22/08/2018 11:24

You're just taunting me now with your tales of excellent Aldi products. Swines.
